Lib Tech rockered snowboards

i love how they try to protect themselves from the ski industry in the bottom right corner

contrary to belief you dont have to CLAIM your double post... we noticed and we know its an accident. thus u just transformed your dub post into a triple post... NEWB

LOL ROFLCOPTERZ!

i dont really understand. so is it supposed to be something like the "early rise" thing that lines doing with one of their powder skis next year?

It looks like they are claiming that they came up with rocker'd sticks first when line, salomon, and k2 all have skis with rocker coming out this season. Of course this will be the first freestyle ski/board to have it though. Pep and Andy have been making a lot of fuss about rocker'd skis so I'm sure k2 will come out with a park ski with rocker soon.

hmmmm. They can't be trying to take the credit for rockered stuff, McConkey had spatulas like 5 years ago.

i want to see a snowboard with an aggresive rocker in the tip and reverse sidecut. just like a surfboard. That would be innovative. the little tiny banana rocker on the libtech is pathetic.

k2 has a super dope rocker snowboard i cant remember the name of it though. and the rocker madens are tight as well.(saw them at the demo day out here)

http://libtechblogs.com/pics had this as well:

you guys are retarded. no need to claim shit, its not like YOU came up with the idea of a rockered ski anyway. besides, if you think about it, on a snowboard, there are totally different design goals, and the idea that the center is pressuring the snow is very good, so as it leans into a carve, your not trying to over flex the stiffest part of it. its a good idea, and dont be so naive as to think rocker is anything new, nor anything that shane Mcconkey single handily invented. its a fairly common idea, and has been used in the past on powder boards, and im sure on one off skis.

they're just claimin that it's a new idea for snowboards, chillax. and the banana theme is hilarious. that sounds like it'd be soooooo good in pow, as if snowboards didn't float enough already.

that one is the board with less rocker. they make a really reverse cambered one called the "Banana Hammock" too.

why? snowboards don't need a lot of rocker or any at all, they have enough surface area to them afloat

Lib Tech has badass shit, they are coming out with new tech alot this year. the magne traction is badass on the skinny ass snowboards. its wierd how they still jib smooth too.

reverse camber on a snowboard changes the performance in a completely different way than it does on skis because of where our feet are.

in snowboarding its more for improving hard pack performance, in skiing its for pow.

lib has been experimenting with this technology for a real long time now, and theyre not trying to take credit for it at all. pretty much all theyre doing is finally producing a snowboard as a snowboard, as opposed to essentially just a wide ski. the technology was the same for a while, and lib has found out a way to make snowboards perform better than is unique from skiing.

people get way too worked up over things.

because a banana bends like ( see? so it looks like a banana because its yellow and junk, cool board. i wanna try it so bad.

Dear Lib Tech,

I love how you have taken the step to make skis. That shows some balls in an industry that spends a large amount of time distancing it from skiing. I really want to support you, because the Magnetraction seems to be a great idea. However, I am getting pretty pissed off by your cliqueish and teenage sensabilities that cause you to simply call the skis you are making "narrow ass snowboards." In case you haven't noticed, the whole skiing/snowboarding feud thing is done, and is only prepetuated by individuals who refuse to change their prejudices. So please, please, please just call them skis. It is ok to say that you are making skis, and I highly doubt you will lose credibility in the snowboard world for doing it.

Love,

I like how skis are rockered first and then they talk about how its not like a ski. They need to get over how only the rich little kids that are bad at snowboarding, dont like skiers.

I really think its stupid that they dont recognise their skis and change their name to narrowed snowboards cause in a way they are letting people know that they dont like skiing but at the same time they sell skis and we are the once who buy them, the once who are in a way being descriminated or sthing like that.

Sry for my english, thats what I think.

ya but lib makes it so defined that they are not skiers i dunno i understand its a joke but its kinda insulting but its also funny w/e i dont really give a shit
