Would anyone recommend the 168 Striped Lib Tech NAS's? Also, is Lib Tech coming out with more skis next year and some ski bindings?
 
i hear good things and bad things. yeah the magin traction is great cause you can file down the edges n grind but still have a perfect edge, but i also hear bad things such as they flex in the wrong spots, im gonna wait till i hear more things about them and see more out on the mountain. and i wanna say yes to the bindings but im not sure if theres some coming out.
 
i hear there pretty badass. and you 2 should get icons it really brings down the thread when i cant look at pictures
 
anyone know where one could score some lib techs these days?? tried on google and couldn't find much
 
i was told that if you buy the Stripes graphic, you get 2 identical skis of the plain striped ski, and if you buy the Striped Man graphic, you get 2 identical skis of the striped ski with the guy on it. do you think thats true, becuase the 2 graphics are pictured mixed together as a pair?
 
iam thinking about getting lib tech or armada next year i dont want to fuck it up and get lib tech and they suck...

but armada is always a good choice so idunno
 
i have a friend with 2 magnetraction snowboards and loves them. he knows a guy who has the 188 parillo graphic NAS's and says that the guy loves them. i haven't directly spoken to the guy, but this is what i heard.
 
nice do i have to de edge them or whatever?? i mean i have never done that does it really help on rails? and how does it effect all mtn?
 
i'm not 100% sure but i think that the magnetraction allows you to detune the edges to be better in the park for rails and boxes yet still be as "carvable" as regular, tuned skis. if someone could verify this, i would appreciate it, cause i'm not sure if i'm right.
 
bump for that... particularly the 188s cuz I'm lookin for a pow ski the 176s definately wouldn't cut it for me since they are so much skinnier too.
 
theres pics of next years lib techs in the 07/08 ski thread. so no, i dont think they are getting out of skis. next years look even better

 
do you think you could post a link to that thread? i've looked and theres like 10 07/08 ski threads already, and each has like 20 pages.
 
werd, anyone know if next year will have any different sizes? cuz the 176 is too short and too skinny, 188 has swee dimensions but a tad long.
 
everything. ive ridden them on ice/the super firm stuff in the morning when its like 15 degrees/pow/chunder/slush and they hold their own no doubt. (no park was had while riding these skis)

kind of weird to get used to cuz they feel super responsive, like they want to turn a lot, but after an hour you get used to it and really put the magnetraction to the test. after saying that it sounds like they dont like to straightline, eh? well wrong. you can straightline these skis just as well as any other. carving switch is unbelievable on these, soo easy and smooth. (this pair were demos at Mt Baker)

with that said, i would recommend them. and now looking back on that day of sickness, i want to buy a pair of my own... god damnit.
 
stripes is just the striped ski without a guy on it. striped man is the striped ski with a man on the top right ski only.
 
I think porterstahoe, proctorjones, one of those 2 has N.A.S for sales. $179 per ski, doesn't seem too be too steep

are you sure about that? i know that is how it is pictured on the tramdock and backcountry websites, but i'm not sure if that's right.
 
he has hook ups with lib tech/gnu. you can buy em @ backcountry tho and the price isnt THAT steep. plus they have the 168 striped man. i wana get it too soo bad
 
how do they look in real life? i'm planning on getting the 168 striped man and some salomon 914 b85 bindings for them. i put up a photoshopped image of the bindings mounted on my profile cause i dont know how to post an image on a thread. how do you think the salomon 914 bindings would work with the 168's, because they look sick.
