What's up riders/shredders. i'm starting a FB page for NAS rocky mountains and if you have any photos of yourself killing it on NAS, Party photos with NAS in it, or whatever with NAS send them to me with a caption and i'll put them up on the page. Keep on NAS'ing in the free world!!!

while i dont know how good the Lib-Tech NASes are (they might be real legit skis), i have to say that Lib-Tech is a pretty douche company. i mean come on, trying to show that you're only making skis for the profit by calling them ''Narrow Ass Snowboards''? shits pretty weak imo.

this guy from libtech was trying to convice me that libtech invented rocker, so now they are bringing it to skis and everyone is copying them.

Do your research man. Yeah, it may sound douchey, but it is a snowboard company, and they make damn good product. Also, the reason they are called narrow ass snowboards is a lot more noble than that. They are sold in singles and called NAS because some snowboard companies actually are douches (ahem burton) and wont sell their whole line to a store who also carries skis, in a sadly misguided attempt to keep snowboarding "core." So give this dude a break and lets see some pictures.

No they are trying to expand their profit margins by pretending they are part of the newly popular ski industry. and they don't even have the balls to call their skis, skis. At least other crossover companies have respect for skiing.

Lib makes a great product and few brands are more passionate about mountain culture than Lib-Tech. All of Lib-Tech's marketing is a joke and sopposed to be funny, dont take it so seriously. I have seen Lib-tech NAS on hill for almost 10 years in the NW and many of the workers at the 'snowboard factory' do ski.

I have the freeride NAS 176s and they are one of the most fun all around ski i have ever owned.

That being said i have waranted them once and bought a new pair on my own. 3 pairs in three years

delam every were edges crack to fast and the tips split on all 2 of my pairs all 4 tips

I'm not here to fight. sorry. Even though it's been a good conversation and I do like to hear about broken skis or how amazing the product is, because well that's the only way to make better product. Sooooo Pics anyone???

ive ridden friends' NAS's and gotta say i thought they were dope. magnetraction is one thing that made a difference in my opinion and i think lib is a pretty sick company.

Well fuck, if Lib-Tech is making NAS and marketing them to skiers as a way to be like snowboarders, then we need to make WAUS (Wide Ass Uni-Skis) and market them to boarders so they can be like skiers, right?

Guys, guys... what's with the criticizing Lib-Tech for?

You're seriously baggin on Lib-Tech and saying 'they just want to make more money' as your reason? really? If that was the truth, they would make inferior ass product, market the crap out of it, and sell it in droves in an effort to take over the industry... they are not... in fact, their skis are relatively exclusive in comparison to other companies.

They are one of the snowboard companies I respect the most... They make fairly solid product, put research into it, and build them in North America. They also are far and away more respectable than most of the other companies... namely the aformentioned Burton...

Dont compare them to Burton. They are by no stretch of the imagination anything like that company... If they were like Burton... they'd do exactly what I already mentioned they would do if they were 'just trying to make more money'.

Lib-Tech is a company that wants to advance snowsports... just like any other small company... Love them or hate them, I think they are legit and here to stay...

So, for the OP. Any photos?

So I think it's dope what lib tech is doing with the NAS series but I've talked to a few people who have skid em that say the magna traction on skis is kinda hokey. All the snowboarders I know who ride GNU or lib tech magna traction decks love em, but from skieers I've either heard "eh can't tell a difference" or "doesn't do anything aat all seems like a marketing ploy".

Anyone think the magna traction works on skis? It seems to me like it's in the wrong place underfoot because you usually edge more toward the front of your skis but on super rockered boards that's different I guess..

I'll post some shots of next years NAS as soon as i can. I'm in NZ at

Whakapapa for the season and we are really hurting for snow right now.

To all you kids that talk shit about Lib, you have no idea. They

are the only company big enough to be in direct competition with Burton

and their product is all hand made near Canada, in the USA. Not in a

factory in China. They make NAS because they have friends that happen

to ski and they want them to have a nice product. Lib has never been

afraid to take a chance with the design of their snowboards or skis.

They have the presses already, so they spend a little time each year

building us skis. They're not trying to take over the ski market, just

to build us the skis we want to ride. If you like how they look, pick

up a pair. If not, find something that works for you.

skiers have a snowboarding-related inferiority complex because of shawn white mostly. which is why we don't react well to the name "narrow ass snowboards"

lib tech makes a solid product. i personally dislike the wavy ass edges because you can't freaking drag a file guide along them and are thus impossible to maintain, but i'm also really anal about ski maintenance. they work for some people, they dont walk for others. haters gonna hate, but theres nothing wrong with them. i say kudos for lib tech for innovating; sometimes its great to get an outsider's perspective

Lots of snowboarders hate shaun white too... its the arrogance that burton has to market him as the jesus of snow... (seriously? building a pipe in the backcountry and ruining a perfectly sick area for shredding pow? that just drove me nuts)

I dont know many skiers who REALLY react poorly to the NAS anyway... I think anyone with a sense of humour can figure out the joke, anyway...

I don't know.. I mean, I like Lib Tech skis, most of my snowboard friends like their boards (even though most of them have moved on to Never Summer now for some reason). I just don't get why they have to give a "new" name to everything they do. Like when they did rocker for their snowboards, claimed they invented it and called it "Banana". Now in the snowboard world we have banana, pickle, hot dog, or whatever the hell else they came up with. It's rocker, call it by it's damn name!!! It's along those lines that I don't like "narrow ass snowboards". I don't find it funny, I find it annoying and a cheep marketing gimmick to try and get the gullible crowd on board.

I have a hard time with marketing in every aspect of life. Most of it doesn't make sense, contradicts itself, and overall is just dumb. "New and Improved"
