I just want to know more about this ski as i recently purchased it and am getting soo stoked for the upcoming season!
 
ya i thought itd be weird as well however was told they are amazing when dulled + the magnetraction (weird edge thing) on their jib ski is not nearly as wavy as there other products...

 
don't listen to people talking about skis they haven't ridden, it's like taking sex lessons from a monk

i ride them, they are a great ski, the slight rocker is nice, theyre quite stiff which is great for landings and they're fun! Enjoy!

I've heard really mixed reviews on these skis, glad to hear more good things. Really want a straight answer as to whether they're worth looking into or not.
 
I had a pair of 08/09 Park NAS which if im not mistaken have been replaced by the Jib.

I got good use out of them. They are definately a stiff ski but that seems to be the case with most of the Lib Tech NAS line. Very durable.

The Magne Traction kind of works especially if you ski on the east coast and get those icy cold days. After a while you dont even realize it.
 
well i like that this ski is somewhat flexible because i am a ski quiver so i like the stiffness for jumps, all mountain as well....

 
What an idiot, the "weird edge thing" is called magne-traction and it works quite well. When skiing park/rails you want to detune the edges so they don't catch but that is with any ski you hit rails with. Magne Traction was specifically designed to cut into ice and glazed hardpack so you don't slide and it works flawlessly. I have owned 3 pair of Lib Tech's and have friends who also ride them, it all comes down to personal preference, but as far as functionality you will be happy with them. Welcome to NS and +K for trying some Lib Techs.
 
meh...nothing special IMO.

the rocker curve is next to nothing compared to most skis with rocker which loosens up the feel a bit, but not as much as i was expecting (coming from salo 2012, on3p jeronimo, rossi s3, plus a bunch of carving skis with tip rocker). Like it was mentioned above, still quite stiff compared to other companies and very stiff for a "jib" ski.

Honestly though, im not a fan of magnatraction on the NAS skis unless you size DOWN with them. I found most people embellish how well it works based on opinions gathered from the snowboards with it but the NAS skis are nothing like the feel you get on a banana traction gnu/lib board.

Think about it, you have all of your weight on ONE edge with a snowboard and snowboards tend to be significantly shorter than skis (hence more weight on less edge). With skis, you have your weight divided to some extent between both feet AND you are running longer skis which means LESS weight per edge. I tried the 156, 165, 171(ish), and 178 NAS skis a couple seasons ago and found the magnatraction was only noticeably effective on the shorter skis. my 2 cents anyways...
 
Yeah I've told this story before and I'll tell it again. I demoed the park ski and the nas. The magnatrac does work halfway decent on hard pack but honestly I felt like you could def catch a weird edge at the most inopportune time on a groomer. The icing on the cake was when I took em through the park. First rail I hit I slid 6-10" and caught the edge and ate shit. You can talk detune all ya want but I've rocked non detuned regular edged skis down rails no prob so that argument is semi invalid. To the OP, if you were my best friend I'd tell ya not to get em. There's way too many superior skis out there at that price. I'd compare it to slappin your drunk friend before he brings the fat chick home ya know?
