Berman, obviously you have moved on. Are you really bringing in that much scrilla off these digital downloads ???

Drop um for the culture! hopefully some kid will sit down and watch them all, in order, and develop a sense of what has developed over the last 20+ years.

It pains me so to meet young kids who have no idea of those early days!

"FORWARD" will forever be my favorite one!

Here's the first 9 level 1 films from their vimeo:

Berman is a boss and he posted all of them up for free for a little bit shortly after I broke my leg. It was good timing because I had the opportunity to watch them all multiple times haha

I think we have gotten too spoiled with free ski content, especially this year. Like a dozen or so high quality ski movies came out for free in the past few months. I don't mind paying for some every now and then.

I think this is the reason Berman and others stopped producing movies to go on tour with....pay for their collection asshole, plus owning the hard copies in 20 years will be some nostalgic artifact shit.

In case you've missed these as well. Here is a podcast series they did about each of the movies. Link to movies 1-9 (sorry thought it included refresh) is in link.

Who knows, 10-20 might be hidden in their calendar.

O yes. I cherished the first 10-12 of those. considering Level1 started releasing movies every year starting when I was 10 or 11 year old. So those first 10 movies released annually as I grew from a boy to a man were very instrumental in my development. Those early movies taught me what was cool in skiing, music, clothes, etc.

I had watched ski movies before Level1 (Matchsticks ski movies series, ski movie 2 was the best, TGR's early stuff was pretty cool, PBP of course) but the moment I saw "Strike 3" on the RSN channel it was fucking over for me. i was hooked.

Unless they’re super thrifty, you’re right honestly lol. I’m just under 25 but I still have some OG discs I’ll never toss. They can still buy and watch online, nowhere online really has pirated ski movies unless it made it on YouTube so may as well buy and support the cause.

That movie is a year old just buy it. With the impact that level 1 has had on your life I would think you could throw them $20.

Yeah idk how well a modern Xbox even does, think I watched Ski Porn on the one at my house and that’s from ‘06.

Lol

I accidentally stumbled upon some working vimeo links for a couple of the later movies on NS a while ago, not sure if they were intentionally left up so not gonna share them. If I were to watch one more than once I would 100% buy a digitial copy for 10 bucks tho, support legit companies, it's worth it

You'd be surprised. Sometimes it's nice to have a an actual physical copy of something. Lots of people still buy records for example

Why didn't you just download them when they were being released on a weekly basis (coinciding with the podcast)?

Man Forward-Turbo was the golden years

TRUTH. everything kind of just got to big or somehow lost its sense of wonder after that.. maybe it was Will Wesson's underbar switch up in Turbo? after that I could just never be impressed again? Park shoots lost their uniqueness, everything had basically been conquered, the new technology made everything easier....

I'm going to reply to all of your comments until you buy Romance. You are an adult you dont even need to beg mommy for her credit card.

I spent my annual ski movie allowance on "Salute" which i feel like could of had way more urban, and included more of the less hammer tricks i'm sure went down at each session.

Ski movies used to be $30, you only spent $10 of that on Salute, therefore you have $20 more to spend on Romance.

Yeah I think after that, everything got so technical and everyone was so good it was mind-numbing. The earlier level 1 years was when freeskiing was still pretty raw and unpolished. I liked that

If you really want to see it without paying full price just rent it from Amazon or something, it's cheap on there

I want to go back to paying $30 for Ski DVDs. Need that hard copy to add to my collection.

Depending on where you live your library card might be free and if your libary has Hoopla, Pleasure and Small world are on there. Along with some cringy Warren Millers
