Level 'Sixties' Gloves - how waterproof?

I've just got a pair of these and was wondering whether its best to treat them with a waterproofing product before using them??
 
yeah, do it. i seriously used mine 10 times maybe and they are completely destroyed. holes and rips ALL over the place. i can't even wear them anymore. and a fair warning, do not use them on spring days unless you want a sponge strapped to your hands.
 
Are they ok in low temperatures as its always freezing over here in Scotland?

I've treated them with Hestra leather balm so hopefully that should make them bit more waterproof.

My levels haven't been amazing, nor have they been utterly terrible. The liner has a rip on the inside and some of the palm print has worn off after about 15 days' use. They aren't the most warm or waterproof gloves, but they are comfy and have excellent range of movement. Still, I think I'll stick to Marmot and Dakine in future.
 
My sixties are probably the warmest gloves I've ever owned... but definitely NOT the most waterproof. Dunno why that matters when you're skiing though... it's not like you're rolling around in the snow. They can easily tolerate snow falling on them... I just wouldn't recomend using them to make a snowball.
