If you guys have been keeping up with the Level 20 podcast, you might have heard this story from the Partly Cloudy episode.

The story is absolutely wild. Drunken shenanigans led to smashed windows, hospital visits and a hotel room that was destroyed so badly that the housekeeper responsible for cleaning it filed workers comp because of breathing problems.

I always wondered why Level 1 Sun Valley segments stopped but HOLY SHIT

Trashing hotels and condos is so fucking degenerate. You want to have some real fun? Do some hard drugs responsibly and safely. Id rather be friends with a

respectful stand up drug addict than a tool like dom laporte any day.

Destroying things is such a low iq thing to do.

Pretty bad move on Dom's part. I always wondered why he was never brought on to film urban with Level 1, as he had the craziest SU two years in a row. I guess this explains why

Dom was super talented and I tried to make something work with him. I actually invited him on a trip with the O'Neill crew during shooting for 2016's Pleasure- if I remember correctly he showed up for the first day, never put skis on, and no-showed the rest of the trip. Pretty sure O'Neill dropped him right after that. Some people can't help themselves.

I dont even know why you would drop him a line after what he did to you.

I feel like so many teenagers/young adults feel the need to cause havok in order to feel good about themselves. Its so degenerate.

Way to embarrass your parents dom. They shouldve used a fucking coathanger instead of let a mistake like you into this world.

The podcasts have be awesome btw! Deff making me rewatch some of the one I dont frequent as much.

Really looking forward to the podcast on Less (my fav Level 1 movie). I'd love to hear your thoughts on how Magnus' style has evolved and what it was like working with him before he became Skimanguy

I remember seeing rumblings of details like this a while back on here. Also I think some of us also remember hearing about the Orage Masters carnage that took over Sun Valley too lol

People with high iqs realize building and preserving nice things is more fun than tearing them apart. People like dom are angry their own minds are such a boring place to be so they lash out by destroying things, thinking that telling other people they trashed a condo will make them seem like an interesting person, when they know in their heart they arent.

Yeah me too haha. Leaving no loose ends in the industry. Good on him from a professional standpoint though to not let shit hang out to dry during the lifespan of Level 1 annuals. It would’ve been bad PR & just looked bad if he was making call outs in between that years premiere or something
 
That’s an unreal story.

I sprayed my friend in the face with a fire extinguisher once and he thought he was going to die from breathing in all the powder. Made a gigantic mess too. Luckily not in a 5 star condo at sun valley lmao. Tabarnak pack boiz are wild!

Probably the worst thing ever. Was chasing some park crew mates around with a salt monkey at buttermilk a few years ago. Fucking quality. Then got sprayed with a fire extinguisher when I walked out of the shop. I could barely see. Waking up hungover as fuck with the taste of fire extinguisher and the burning eyes was shit. Could barely see while I drove to the store the next day.

Pretty funny, glad I didn't go blind or anything. That smell/taste is fucked though.
 
was this also like the weekend after orage masters tore sun valley apart? that was rowdy but apparently not nearly as bad as the level 1 shoot. i think that's why masters wasn't held there again either

Yea man, I grew up here. In the podcast they mention how Brian Callahan, one of the main park higher-ups at sun valley was absolutely devastated (in tears) by the destruction and bad pr being caused by the incident. But, they still have a major focus on park at Dollar Mountain, feature locals in ad campaigns (tai barrymore, banks gilberti, collin collins, karl fostvedt) and are constantly innovating to new designs/keeping up with park skiing trends. Super proud that they were able to keep the disaster under pretty good wraps and continue to make it a draw for people to want to go there.

Also get fucking fucked anyone trying to justify that as "a little party never killed nobody." Some really good people almost lost jobs because of it and made it so there hasn't been a park shoot in SV since. Seeing as having park shoots is becoming more and more rare these days, it's a sad story when what was a dynamic relationship between Level 1 and SV resort creating some of the sickest jumps/features ever seen before was ruined by a dipshit with a fire extinguisher :(

In the podcast it mentions that and a snowboard event that didn't help the situation.
