Freedle in Quebec, Berman in Denver and Decker in Ohio?? Get scared, real scared.

Well, what do you guys expect to see in a movie if you dont like urban? alot of people dont like pow, then some wont like jumps? should people stop making movie ?

I don't personally like urban, but that doesn't mean it doesn't blow my mind with the right combination of filmers, location, skier, and editing. Level 1 films, specifically Long Story Short and Realtime have become two of my favorite ski movies for that reason alone. It doesn't have to show what I want to see in a ski movie, yet show a side of skiing better than anyone else can.

im sure these three are just gonna shoot urban the rest of the year so yeah, sucks for you.

Blake Kimmel in Spotlight Project has a creative editing style that is mind blowing

With the exception of Level 1, Spotlight Project, and Meathead Films, companies over-glorify skiing and portray exactly what skiing is NOT. By keeping creativity and fun in skiing, Level 1 and other companies choose to scour the globe for the best urban and back country in the biz. Three years from now, urban and back country jumping will dominate ski movies. Thankfully, these companies embrace creativity rather than resist the change.

If creative editing is what you want, urban is the future. Cities hold limitless possibilities and with someone like Decker, Berman, or Freedle documenting the madness --- the shots will blow your mind.

if level 1 made a movie of just urban I would buy it. There is something berman and freedle do that make the urban sections amazing, they capture it just the right way but it always turns out dope. Im suuuuper excited for the upcoming movie

THis is going to be such a sick year for movies, Berman will make the best movie ever.

Sort of realted: Is Tanner doing another movie?

i'll hop on the hype train only because i know berman will pull it off... only 8 or 9 months till he drops the next work of art.

yeah...rails don't really give me a stoke factor unless they're done at the right times and extremely well. I think level 1 overdoes it, but if that's your thing that's cool. I prefer more big mountain lines and BC booters/bc jibbing. I gotta say that chris benchetler's seggy in Yeah Dude was one of my favorites in a long time, and so was john symms'...

What I enjoy the most is that none of this surprises me at all.

Level 1 consistently puts out dope movies with killer editing, great skiing, and a perfect vibe. Why should this year be any different?

With the exception of Realtime and High five I haven't seen much skiing in bermans movies over the last few years. I seen more jumping flipy spiny tricks and rails slides. I would like to see berman take his athletes to some hills and have them make some real turns.... Throw a curve in there.... all you little hoods would be shitting bricks....

sounds like a shit load of rails.... does level 1 realize it's dumping like shit everywhere?? i'd be balls deep in some filthy backcountry shit...

Tom wallish was OK? delorme also did like a 100 foot switch 270 over a valley that was also ok i guess.

i can't belive that level 1 is getting hate at all but on a website called newschoolers of all places! they make the best videos in the world and they have a style that is what this site is meant to represent. they are inovative films, they show how skiing has progressed since the last one, turns in pow is nothing new, i'm bored of that, i don't know how you can be bored of something you've never seen before.

I cant wait to see the quebec footage, I mean level 1 is hitting alll the good rail spots we are doing over here, thats sick!

We never said that his movies were bad, some of us thinks that his style is played out... other loved it dude its really not that big a fucking deal and yes everyone can ski powdah but not every one can grab it by the hips and hump it into submission...

we went to hit a rail in quebec and jd freedle and jf were just leaving pretty stoked to get to the rail and shit be already set up

i've been watching realtime at work all day and continually get stoked..best soundtrack, best filming..best ever.

yea i agree with you on that. there is some cool parts, but i really wasn't a big fan of the movie. Bonus park segments were baller as hell though.

thay're undeniably the best park movies, but fuck man, i think they do so many handrails that it just gets gay. Persoanlly, I am thoroughly impressed when movies just have a few insanely gnarly urban features. Level 1 does so many double and triple kinks that none of them stand out. they should work harder on their backcountry shit, cuz wiley miller's footage was the sickest part of realtime fo sho...

best park movies? I buy level 1 movies for the back country and the urban, and the park segs add a great closing to the movies. perhaps focusing on the tricks and the technicality of the tricks done on handrails in level 1 movies will help you appreciate the urban more. Being disciplined enough to get as many rails on film as level 1 athletes do is not an easy task. Level 1 is without question the hardest working company in the biz

I think Level 1 is sick, but I can understand how people are getting annoyed. Every time someone mentions Level 1 like 1,000 people jerk one off, it's a little annoying. On the other hand, level is sick, they just get so much hype on this site that it's always in your face.
