You don't know how bad I want to be there. Being in UVic with no car does have some downsides...

Ferry to tsawassen. 620 to 41st avenue. 41 to UBC.

Everyone who gets in gets a raffle ticket for free On3ps! Plenty of other swag to give away from sponsors; more skis, movies, apparel, gear, on and on. The theatre seats 400 people so once it's full, it's full, and I want to make it as full as possible so bring friends! You will be able to buy tickets this week at UBC, and hopefully elsewhere (still working that detail out). PM me if you have questions or e-mail to jdmay@newschoolers.com.

Come out, show your support for Level 1 and watch one of the best movies of the year!

It's on UBC campus just down the road from the Chan Center. If you remember the Massive / That's It That's All premiere from last year, it's the same theatre. Google maps:

Oooh thanks guys. Might be able to come out then! I remember that theatre. Nice venue. I wanna see refresh so bad.

You should probably crash at someone's house after too, it'll probably end around 10 and it'd be a pain to go home from there

Yeah that wouldn't be fun going back that late. I don't think the ferries even run that late anyways. My parents' house is pretty close to the ferries so I could easily crash there and then ferry back in the morning anyways.

Change your plans son! I have another big "free ish" item in the works to give away to some lucky person...

Full tilt! Yep... now giving away skis AND boots. You can also win a free Pete Hunter.

FYI: If you are a member of the UBC Ski and Board club, you can now buy tickets at the club's head office in the Student Union Building.

Negative. If they get it which is highly unlikely they still have to get another one in Canada, which is a) not worth doing and b) really hard to do.

Also the premiere is sponsored by the UBC Law Students' Society which is basically 600 future lawyers. Also also I talked to the head of intellectual property at one of the big firms downtown and he didn't think there was much chance they could get one up here. Hopefully they'll just drop the suit.

ATTENTION NORTH SHORE PEOPLE

You can now buy tickets for Refresh at North Shore Ski and Board!

Oh thanks man. Depending on how the night shapes up I might need to take you up on that offer. Right on.

So due to me finding out that there is a UVic ski club kegger all afternoon and evening Saturday, I am presented with a really really hard decision.
Refresh premiere after many hours of travel though it only happens once a year?orBeing shit faced with access to 5 kegs right off campus at 2PM with all the skiers in Victoria with no bus travel required?
I can't make up my mind to be honest. Both seem like logical decisions.

Cmon... You know what to do. Level 1 premiere isn't just once a year, it hasn't happened since 2006, and that was in Whistler, not Vancouver.

Yeah good point...
But this kegger is with all skiers out here, so it could mean meeting new people to shred with on the island. Meaning more skiing this winter. Like an investment.
But like JD said we haven't had a level 1 premiere in a long time. And this movie is supposed to be amazing... And there likely won't be a Victoria premiere later either...
FFFUUUUUUCCCCKKKK

Haha yea I would definitely be really hard pressed for a decision tooI don't know man, I think its one of those things where you're just going to decide and stick with it.
I recently had to pick a trip between an educational trip to Peru with my classmates (we've been together for 5 years now so we're really close and an awesome group) or a tour to the UK with my school rugby team, during which St.Patricks day will be spent in Ireland (yep we're all underage, and yes we probably will be piss drunk).
In the end a lot of factors went into the decision but I found that usually you're leaning towards one already, its just a matter of figuring out which one.
Good luck, I'm sure either would be good though.

Negative.

I stopped by there today and they said the guy who was supposed to bring them tickets only brought them posters.

uuh yea so that'd be JD.

You can buy some from me as well but I'm over on this side so...

Don't worry about it its a 400 seater so it won't sell out. If by some crazy fluke it does I'll let you in Jason, you'l have to pay premium though. haha

Yeah so I DEFINITELY gave those guys 50 tickets, so if they lost those I am not going to be super happy about it. It's not a matter of whether it will sell out or not (fingers crossed boys, make it happen) it's a matter of knowing how many tickets are where, I kept track of who had which ones (they're numbered) so I know what I have been paid for and what I haven't been paid for.

ANYWAY. Premiere will be sick. Movie is ridiculous. Tom absolutely slays it. Pete I *plan* to start the movie at 8pm... but we'll see what happens. Either way there is a bar right across the street and we both know why you really show up to premieres.

Hah.
Damn it JD you already watched it?Yea... so bars eh. Is there a back door to this bar you speak of?
I find it quite funny and ironic I have to sneak into something I'm organizing...

It's not exactly a high security place and there is a patio you could probably get into... but uh I have nothing to do with that

oh yea of course, I would never try to sneak into something like that.Way too rowdy for me. I'm just not that kinda guy ya know.

i have 3 midterms and a lab this week. i know what you mean. sadly im at ubc though and might not resist temptation.

Haha it's like 2 hours of your time on a saturday night, even I can spare that during exams. Take a break guys.

NSSB found the tickets so that's all good. I'll be picking those up in a little bit after which point if you don't have a ticket you'll need to get one at the door.

See everyone tonight!
