Level 1 discussion: After Dark vs. Sunny

Am I the only one who finds it funny that Sunny, one of their best (in my opinion) followed After Dark, one of their worst (imo)? Maybe it was Level 1 acknowledging that AD was not the best and went in a completely different direction.

I mean, the skiing was excellent in both and I think some skiiers (Wesson, Wiley...) actually had better tricks in After Dark. But the concept was sketch and the execution was a meh as far as keeping it exciting and movie like. The music and intros just weren't coherent, wasn't a big fan.

Sunny was really good for me, maybe even better than Eye Trip (my favorite Level 1 prod. to date). High energy level, cool music choices, nice story line, and of course amazing skiing.

Thoughts?

I really enjoyed Sunny, but I also enjoyed After Dark. I really think I am thinking Sunny was just a bit better imo.

AD wasn't their best work, but IMO sunny is one of my favorites. I'm not sure it was because of the change in "theme" but i think rather an extra year of experience and a slightly different direction in editing that made the segments flow into one another better

After Dark is one of the best movies ever imo. Sunny was really good too but I liked AD more

This is kinda how I feel. Both movies are really close for me, but I think the skiing in Sunny was a little better. More creative, like Imlach's building track. The film making in both was great, in my opinion.
