So we've just encountered the shittiest season on record here in Southern California and I'm personally concerned my grandkids aren't gonna be skiing anywhere in the future. Believe it or not, Big Bear used to get SHITTED on back in the 20th century with snow walls as high as the Sierras and I'm bummed as fuck to see what winter has to offer us nowadays. Our parents come from a generation where they would say "Oh, global warming, that's for our kids to worry about." or " It's just a myth" Well here we are now and there is crystal clear evidence that us as humans, are fucking this earth up (Antarctic shore melting, Fukushima radiation, oil spills, pollution). I'm surprised that us as skiers aren't giving a single shit that our kids are gonna be skiing on patches of snow. This thread isn't to bash on or blame anyone for contributing to this epidemic we're dealing with because that would be a hypocritical move by me. This is to simply start a conversation and talk about measures we can take as a community (who's lives revolve around winter) to try and preserve our seasons and in the end, save the planet from ourselves.
