mine right now are probs modest mouse, the shins, belle and Sebastian, the cure, and arcade fire.

honourable mentions go to q-tip,the doors, and Jamiroquai.
 
I like arcade fire but imo they only have like 2 good albums so I couldn’t put them in my top 5

mine would probably be the dead, Jimi, beach house, The Weeknd, fifth idk maybe gorillaz or daft punk. Kind of all over the place but yeah if we’re talking top 5 in all of music that I listen to it’d probably be that. 6 would be Jeffery Lamar ‘SEX’ Williams

exquisite band wish i had the melodic ear that kerry mccoy has. idk how they haven’t made a bad album yet. i gusss they’re getting old and george can’t really sing for shit live but the musics still good!!

I haven't been fucking with their newer albums but still good. But yeah, George probably doesn't wanna scream anymore even though he was one of the bests ever at it

nothing compares to sunbather. i’ve found probably every 2011-2013 live video of deafheaven possible cause they sound even better live sometimes

I mean yeah, that's expected, its really hard to drop new bermuda and sunbather and as a fan expect them to get better, considering those are like 2 of the best metal albums probably ever? (more specifcally sunbather). Honestly props to them for moving on and continuing to explore shit and not just beating that sound to death.

Also they sound incredible live, wish I got to see them perform, even if they do prob wont be the same

they are coming to calgary in july. excited.

I personally think wu tang is a contender for top rap groups, or even bands of all time. Obviously I'm biased but there's other great bands out there where the artists have done solo projects and it's very rare that there'll be multiple top tier critically acclaimed solo albums from different artists in the band. Whereas with wu tang clan you've got Liquid swords, Only built for Cuban links, and Tical (to name a few) plus you've got an incredible producer who's inspired countless other artists.

Hate me but the solo projects outshine the group. Liquid swords is a fire album and so is all of gza’s stuff. But for some reason I can’t get into wu tang group stuff. Definitely some bangers from 36 chambers, but I just don’t listen to the rest personally.

I don’t even know if you’d call them groups more like duos, but I enjoy clipse and black star much more over them. Hieroglyphics is a very underrated group that doesn’t get talked about enough, del the funky homosapien is a crazy talented artist
