Let's Build a Rope Swing

So I've been checking out a website about cliff diving/rope swings in Vancouver BC lately (http://www.mowgli.ca/zones/alpha.html) and its got me really really wanting to build a rope swing this summer.

Anyone have suggestions for a warmer lake/river close to Denver?

I'd love to find a river/lake that you can actually enjoy swimming in rather than freezing.

Thoughts?

my thoughts?? FUN!

if someone knows of a good place to build one you should....because i don't have a car

i mean we could always put on on the Dillon Reservoir, right?!?!

Come on I need some recommendations.

So far I'm planning on scoping Clear Creek around Tunnel 1 (Golden), Green Mountian Res, the Blue River north of Silverthorne and a lake or two out on 285.

THoughts?

Anyone from Winter Park/Granby have suggestions?

I know there are mad lakes over there.....so there's got to be some spots, preferably ones that you don't need a boat to access.

Yeah but they're budget and busy....want something bigger like this:

From the pictures I've seen of this place and a video too this looks like a good call.....though they might not allow swimming any more.

Anyone know if its well patrolled?

I was there a couple days ago. There already is a rope swing ther somewhere but you can definitely swing. Not sure how well patrolled it is though. It's less than a half hour from FoCo though.

Any more suggestions? Thoughts?

Looks like Boulder's upper one is down, and haven't seen one around Golden this summer.
