I get my morals from wanting to be a great person. It feels good to be nice. If you spread positive vibes it comes back to you. I don't need a book to feel comfortable about why we're here and how we got here. That is what the bible is for. I am ok with not knowing the unknown. Lots of people need the story of God to be ok with their loved ones dying as an example. For example when people die they say "they're in a better place now - reunited with their grandpa" or whatever. That is such a comforting thought. However, most likely not true.

You don't need the 10 commandments and noah's ark to be a kind person....

I agree so much. IMO people need to understand that religion is really just a guide for living a good life and being a good person; if I feel that I can be a good person without a specific religion or book telling me step-by-step how to do it than do I really need religion?

ok so I worded that funny... Some people have a problem saying "I don't know" and it is true. I don't know why we're here and where we go when we die. For some people having faith in the bible stops them from going crazy. I know plenty about Religion. It was forced down my throat growing up Catholic. People get born into a Religion then defend it to the death. Well, if I was born Jewish then I would have thought that was correct. Or if I was born Muslim I would have thought that was the right answer. So, the majority of people who are Religious were by chance born into it.

And yes countries like China and UAE censor their internet to stop their people from getting too western like. Part of that is to protect their Religious beliefs. If there was no internet I would most likely still be a close minded Catholic prick.
