In my opinion, the original is a dope ass song, and Lil Wayne's version on kinda blows. It sucks that he can take it from that group and make it into something so similar. That's about all that i would have expected, however. So if any of you haven't seen this, check it and let me know what you think:Nyle "Let The Beat Build" from Last Pictures on Vimeo.

You know what i hate, when rapers just rap about how fucking sick they are, how hard they are, how good they rap all that shit. Its annoying. lil wayne and kanye im calling you out

You realize weezey's is the original, right?

and the coolest part about the Nyle version is that its all one take, so they had to do everything right for the entire song or else they start over

Call me lame, but i like Lil Wayne's version. I could care less if he sounds conceited and raps about mindless nonsense.

Shit's just gone too far. People think Lil' Wayne "took" it? Just like when Stronger by Kanye West came out everyone was tripping balls that he "Stole the beat" from Daft Punk. Do people understand what royalties are?

Fuck all these lil wayne threads. Lil Wayne sucks. Not even close to being the best rapper alive. Get over it, listen to some real music

In his song Nyle mentions a line from a milli...which was on the carter 3. Therefore, Lil Wayne recorded it first. Carter 3 sucked anyway. stupid thread

ya the only reason that i thought Nyle had made it first is because i heard that long before this version. my bad, thanks for calling that out man! I did know about them filming it in one take.

i agree 100% and little waynes a faggot his new album is stupid its like every decent song out right now but he mixed it.. and its gay.. little wayne.. just die

It was lil wayne's song first but the other one is way more sick.
Besides if anyone would have "taken" it would have been kanye, since he made the beat. And hasn't anyone heard of sampling or remixing? The original sampled day by day by eddie kendricks.
Get some learnin'
