Look pivots are the worst bindings on the market. My fourth and final healthy pair of looks has now joined the graveyard of cracked, bent, snapped, and obliterated look bindings.

Snapped half-moons, broken heel-piece arms, cracked heel dildo, and jacked up brakes are some of the issues. Always mounted at a legit Bozeman shop with people who know their stuff, and I absolutely baby my skis and bindings at all times.

The damn things are just not good bindings. Fuck yah spread it, don't let these guys take you to the cleaners with their expensive trash.

Have you tried other brands? Only bindings I ever had blow up were some Marker frame bindings.

I haven't ever bought the pivots because it seems like they could possibly break too and they are always way more $$$. I think the last time I bought Attacks they were like 1/2 the price of any pivots. My gut tells me that some freak disaster is a possibility with any brand but I'm probably not going to buy markers because of my prior experience and the fact that they aren't usually the best deal either.

They’re the *worst*? If you’re trying to make a point you’re not helping yourself with hyperbole like that.

For each story like yours there are 100 of pivots being dependable and durable. I have a pair that has endured 15 years of retarded, irresponsible riding.

Sorry to hear you’ve had bad experiences tho cause they are pricey. And now I gotta ask, what’s your favorite binding?

Fool me once.. shame on you.. fool me 4 times... well.. .. yeah.

If you have four broken pairs you have more than enough parts to repair those. Lrn 2 fks noob

Skiing down on one ski every time something breaks is a huge Jerry power move. It's also life threatening if it happens in a big line

I will confidently say that since switching from tele skiing I have only ridden pivots and will continue to only ride pivots.

Are you talking about the 18's or one of the lower DIN varients?

Anecdotal evidence is just that. For every thread like yours, there are plenty of folks (like myself) with hundreds of days on Pivots and no problems.

Personally, I love my Pivots, they live on my daily drivers, and when I get new daily drivers they'll move to that ski. That said, if I blew up a pair, I'd probably throw a different binding on, instead of trying something again that had already failed me. It sounds like there's something with your style of skiing, or taking care of your gear that doesn't jive with Pivots. So try something else, before you go through four pairs of them.

Pivots are weird. I have an sth 16, a pivot 18 and a pair of jesters on my skis this season. Of the three I have broken the heel of one of the pivots. And it was not even hard to break. But which do I like the most, prob the pivots. I just love the low toe height.

So best but also worst haha.
