I was hoping to come in here and scoff at your horrible beat and or rap skill but it's pleasantly fantastic!!! I really enjoyed that!
 
I liked it, there were some strange sounds in the background but otherwise it was dope. Maybe a little bit soft and slow, but that's opinion I guess!

Hip hop is all about the drums. You should layer some heavier breaks and EQ the shit out of em.

Sample is clean though, good job.
 
I disagree. maybe it's just me, but I don't like perfect drums in hip hop, it just doesn't sound OG. however this beat could use better drums.

that was sick OP. just don't sound super white when you rap over it.
 
I said not to use dirty vinyl's drums? I'm an oldschool cat myself. I suggested to layer chopped up breaks instead of going for some internet drum kit.

Perfect drums are quantized. What makes them imperfect is the swing, also referred to as a shuffle (See Preemo or Dilla).

I believe the best hip hop beats are the ones that instantly gets you in that head bobbin motion, boom bap style.

Layer Layer Layer and EQ those dusty breaks mate, they HAVE to be on point.
