Lesson to be learned...

that was some sick snowboarding. but i think ive liked almost all ski trailers to that. it just didnt get me stoked
 
That fs slasher on the dam wall was durtyyyyy.

All the BC hits at the end were sick as hell also.
 
skiing makes me horny and is so ill but that snowboard trailer was so sick.

if i watch a snowboard trailer i don't make it more then 10 seconds but that trailer just grabbed me and pulled me in
 
the ski flicks this year are not far behind, the gap is a lot! smaller than it has been in years past. soon there wont be any gap at all, it'll be just different. like ..........................you wont see an absinthe trailer and be like wow i wish ski produc companys could do something like that, youll just think, sick, ski movies are just as dope, but different. anyhow its only normal that boarders be a little ahead ........... since snowboarding has always been about jibbing, no rules have fun from its inception, theyll always be one level up as far as communicating how gnarly sliding on snow is and can be .
 
The single worst thing snowboarding did to skiing was put forth an image that skiing could never be as "cool" as snowboard.

i've seen a few snowboard trailers that looked sick...but i didn't like that one so much. i love taht led zepplin song, but not really in a trailer. and it didn't really get me that stoked on snowboarding, it was just a bunch of clips, didn't really seem like there was any order or flow. though the slow spins and stuff in the BC were really steezed out.
 
wow actually that was one of the first snowboard trailers that didnt get me amped at all...good tricks, didnt like the trailer at all...
 
i really don't see how it's better than ski teasers..i thought it was too long and it bored the hell out of me...found my self skipping through it to see if anything would catch my eye and ntohing did
 
i think that within the next couple years matchstick and/or poor boys will be able to have that good a teaser. skiings been picking up a lot lately
 
Definetly one of the better snowboard film teasers and definetly wanna see that, but id still rather watch Hunting Yeti
 
bingo... personally i've seen a lot of ski films and i've seen a lot of snowboard films, even more so i've seen a ton of ski and board teasers. given the teaser for picture this dropped last season and it was something we've never seen in ski teasers. this year, that's a completely different story. my point is that everyone says ski films are sooooo far behind snowboard films, but really i think the only reason that's such a widespread thought is that it's what we've all been hearing for the past 10 years...

in my opinion, skiing has absolutely caught up with snowboarding in the context of film making. if there is still a gap, it has become quite minimal. you dont have to agree, because i know there are skiers out there who can think for themselves and identify real quality. but i think the majority of people who still think that skiing is way behind are the people who are still "following the crowd" so to speak. in reference to the post i quoted, this idea of snowboarding being cooler is still around and kids (even kids who ski) still follow that idea and base their opinions solely on that idea. i don't know, maybe i'm wrong and i just dont see the obvious difference? but i really think that this gap has not only closed a ton but has almost become non-existent.
