76 lpc = my dream guitar

WAT? I've seen '59's go for upwards of $120,000 in good condition. And you want a 76? Unless you mean Deluxe, (mid-72 to early 76) a custom from that era is certainly not as good as a mid-50's or early 70's. I personally would want a '61 LP special. Less than 400 made with P-90's and the SG body. They sound amazing.

my parents saw him at his club or w/e in new york last year they said he was really, especially for being 93 at the time. i was hoping to see him sometime soon if i went down there but i guess not anymore:(

Made the first solid body electric guitar. Basically the guitar he made (i believe it was called the plank) defines the modern day electric guitar. A great man. RIP
