Les Miserables

i really liked it, but the one thing i wasnt a fan of was the barricade. in the trailer they show the gateway to heaven barricade at the very end of the movie, which is huge and epic looking, but the actual one was pretty small and flimsy. that scene would have been so fucking cool if there were a few hundred people on each side duking it out in an epic battle. thats what the trailer led me to believe would happen, so i was sorta disappointed when it didnt.

according to my mom, when you see the actual live performance the barricade scene is way more impressive.

Sophomore year at my arts high school I played oboe in the pit for this. I Dreamed a Dream is my favorite piece to play.

Honestly this is one of the better films I've seen all year. I also think this is Hugh Jackman's best performance in a movie. I wouldn't be surprised if it won several academy awards especially for best soundtrack. I also could see Hugh getting best actor, Crowe and Hathaway for best supporting actor/ess. And usually if a movie has best actor/ess it usually receives best movie.
