LENZ sock PSA

Hi,

Both my girlfriend and I have bought Lenz heated socks to try and stop our toes from freezing. After buying ski socks that cost ten times what a normal pair of socks costs, they still expect you to pay for the app to unlock the highest heat settings. Furthermore, the socks are very thick and may not fit into your boot if it is snug. Finally, they do not heat up your toes. The balls of your feet get really hot, but your toes may still be completely frozen.

Maybe if your boots are looser the heat will be able to transfer better?

I am not sure if SIDAS heaters are a better solution for tight fitting boots.

They should have a few different models, as far as I am aware. With and without Bluetooth and ones that are quite thin and ones that have the heating elements on top of the toes too (like a toe cap, I think?).

I got the thinnest ones. Hopefully next year I will be able to buy just the sock with the toe cap. I think those might actually work. There is no way I am buying a totally new package just to get the new sock.

Also the app should be free. That is inexcusable.

the remote for the top end thermic heaters cost $50. $5 for an app which required a team to create it is not really that bad when you consider you used to have to pay $50 for a remote for heaters.

The socks cost between $350-$400.

The app should be free.

the thermic heaters were $450. There is a free app where you can selct level 1-3 the paid app just adds the ability to slide between the settings not just have 1,2 and 3.

the free app doesn't max them out for sure. I couldn't feel them at all until I bought the paid app. It might have been a mental thing but I don't think so. I will confirm this tommorow with a thermometer

If this is true, that is really, really fucked.

What the fuck, these are actually real and not a joke?

Yeah, while I was getting my boot fitted I saw some older dude come in and buy some. The employee who helped them out seemed to know he was selling snake oil, really unenthusiastic as to the performance of them.

Can confirm these socks don't stop your toes from freezing at all.
