Hey ns... I have a question about lenses. I am looking at a Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EOS 7D SLR, and a Canon EOS 60D DSLR.... Will all these cameras work with the same lenses? I am sorry its a noob question. I really have no photography in my family so i can not ask them. Thnks K+++++++++++++++++++

I don't want to sound like a dick but if you need to ask this question then I'm pretty sure you don't need a 5d or 7d, maybe not even a 60d. Have you ever owned a DSLR before?

You might wanna rethink making a 1000-3000 dollar purchase buddy, do some research for christs sake.

all canon lense will fit the 7d and 60, but you need to consider that they are crop sensors so you need to mutiplys the range of the lense by 1.6 ex: 10-22 will give you a 16-35. Second thing, not all the lenses will fit the 5d because it is a full size sensor and not all lenses are built for this. if you buy a 5d you'll need to consider the EF lense and not the EF-S

Sean. Learn your shit. I'm not even saying get a more basic camera. Just spend the time to actually learn about what you're using before you buy it.

Man, if you are asking that question you don't need to be purchasing a camera of that caliper anyways! Buy a t2i and play with that to learn, it will save you a lot of money, even if you really get into photography.

If you have no experience and no family experience you should probably get something more like a T2i or put a lot more thought into it.

i don't know what you are saying that he should get a t2i instead of a 60d ?? my first cam was a 40d and I'm still shooting with it today and i never had problem learning it !? you'll go over your t2i rapidly in my opinion... if you can afford it, go with a 60d and some nice lenses. but this is own opinion.

there's not really much of a difference at all between the 60D and the T2i, same size sensor. really no reason why he would outgrow a t2i faster than a 60D

i should have include the 7d into it also... but the 60d have a faster framte rate, better cross typ autofocus sensor (9 points), max flash sync shutter at 1/250 instead of 1/200. i'm not saying that the t2i is not a go camera but i dont that for the difference of price id rather go with a 60d than a t21. If money doesnt matter, 7d is a good options to.
