Hi everyone, I have the choise for 3 different pairs of oakley splice. The frames are all nice, but I need to make a choise for the lense. I have the choise of a VR28 lense, a Gold iridium lense or a black iridium lense.

Help me...

Same dilemma with me as well.
Need to buy lenses. I see 3 possible conditions.1) Blue bird days, - no clouds2) Overcast gray gloomy days3) Stormy-power falling from the heavens / night skiing times
I want to buy 2 lenses. One to wear in my goggle shell, and one to keep on me in my goggle pocket. What 2 lenses would fit the 3 above criteria?
I have heard talks about Yellows and Roses, Polaroid vs non-Polaroid, and of course photocromatic.

Hi Yellow and Fire is the best combination in my opinion. However, if you only want one lense Persimmon is a pretty solid all around choice, albeit not the sexiest.

i'd say go with the gold iridium. from my experience i find that its definitely better for cloudy days than the black iridium, but i've never worn a VR28 outside. it does have a dark tint thatll ease up the super sunny days, but its not so dark that itll be really bad on cloudy days. i use my gold iridium on partly sunny/cloudy days.
also, the gold iridium has a better mirror to it than the VR28

Yah I have 2 pairs.

Black iridium for sunny/ most day time conditions and high intensity yellow for cloudy/flat /night. Used to have pink iridium it was pretty good all around, most other iridiums blow at night though

I used to use Oakleys but I now got Ra Optics. Its a small company and their pretty pricey ($140 I think), but I never change the lens. My eyes are completely relaxed on sunny days and they're great for night skiing without adjustments. Great clarity too. Rarely fog up. Barely any of that annoying color you see when you first put goggles on. I got em off their facebook page cuz they have some special discount. Check my profile pic to see how they look.

Hi, are your RA Optics Photochromic? Is that why your eyes are always relaxed?
I am interested in Photochromic, but not sure of the price. And not sure how they will work at night.
Thanks guys for the Yellow idea. I think that's a for-sure lens. Now must pick another. Then look for a sale! :)
