Lens protectors for goggles?

Was wondering if this is just out of the question, scratches on a lens are just a nightmare if you live somewhere where vision is essential, and end up getting scratches easily, I was wondering if either a screen protector which you just stick on your goggles(just the phone ones but in the shape of goggles) or whether a thicker sheet of plastic(not sure what material would be best) for clipping onto the front of goggles which would be much easier and MUCH cheaper to replace than having to replace treated, multiple layer lenses.

thoughts?

That is actually a pretty good idea, although I have no idea if any brand would be making any such product for their goggles. They would be losing money if you could buy cheaper protectors instead of an expensive lense. Shoot an email to a goggle company, maybe there is some marketing there?

Oakley motorcross goggles have tearoff lens coverings for when dirt gets on the outer lens. You just tear off the outer layer when it gets covered in dirt and you have a new lens. This would most likely protect from scratches also.

ive actually looked into buying the plastic crap that cell phone screen covers are made out of and seeing if I can cut lense covers for things like the I/O, crowbars, prodigies, EG2s ect. Let me know the interest. I was thinking of pricing at 15-20 a pop to start with? Any interest?

Pretty sick idea! Could it be done though? Or possible a liquid filler that could fill the scratches and make the lenses like new? That would be sweet

With all the newer goggles having spherical lenses, it would be harder to do, but old flat goggs like O/E frames would be easy a pie.

Closest thing I can think of is Uvex's Take-off line for next year. Standard clear/yellow lens with another magnetic lens that pops on and off the goggles. You could wear motocross goggles with tear-off packs but they're usually a lot bulkier than ski goggles.

True true, although for any decent gog like a crowbar, phenom ect, they are all 30+. Maybe 10ish then. Idk its just an idea ive been thinking about.
