Lens or Steadicam?

Right now I am using the kit 18-55mm lens for wide angle shots and my 70-200mm 2.8 for long shots. I was wondering if buying a steadicam or a new wide angle like the 11-16 would improve the quality of my shots more. I have after effects 6 and I have used the stabilizer but it isn't perfect.

Personally I'd say go with the glidecam first.

If your shots are shaky, you won't really be able to tell the difference between an image shot with the kit lens vs nicer glass. (i'm assuming you're planning on using the wide angle primarily for follow cams and shots with a lot of movement?)

in my opinion, if the movement of the shots is smooth and professional looking, It doesn't matter much whether or not the image is a little bit softer than it could be with a nicer lens

yeah that's kinda crazy man, unless you're borrowing the 2.8 I don't know why you wouldn't just have an f4 instead and then buy a 11-16 with the leftovers?

Anyways what's done is done. I'd go for the glidecam, it'll add a lot more to your edits than a wide angle will, especially with the thousands of followcam edits out there now. Okpteka makes a decent stabilizer from what i hear, or you could just put out for the actual glidecam
