length of skis?

im thinking about getting a new pair of ski's and im not really sure what length to get......im 5'10,215lbs. anyone got any suggestions?

my choice is what i choose to do, so if im causing no harm it shouldn't bother you

yeah man, you are gonna want a stiffer, longer ski. I am the same height but about 25 lbs lighter and I still get squirrely at high speeds on 180s. Go with a fatter, stiff like the scratch BCs or V-Pros...but yeah, don't get any of the noodle park skis or you will be in trouble. I made the mistake of getting the skogens last year, and the tips flopped around like a fish in a boat. good luck :)

these days, nobody needs anything over 186 unless you weigh 3000 lbs.

im just gonna sling crystal meth so i dont have to get a real job and can afford to ski, with the way my senior year is goin though thats probably one of my few options

^^ haha. sort of true. but even a softer ski in 190 would flop. but I guess you are right because I can't think of any longer skis that are soft except for the PR

I'm not sure what you're going to use them for (exclusively jibbin?? a little B.C.?)

4-frnt makes a pretty beefy ski. My next suggestion would be the Head mad trix mojo. Again, a super solid ski...pretty stiff. Look in the 180-185 range. Stay away from the Atomics and Salomon skis due to their foam core. Seth Pistol, and Nordica Beast are others you might consider.

I'm 6'4, 195 and ride 193 Dragons... for someone as heavy as he is, I wouldn't reccomend going under 190. V-Pros, B2s, or 724 Pros in a 190 would be good, IMHO.

i just found riding gigantic skis took the fun out of pow. I used to ride a pair of 198cm Elan SCX RP's. I could lay a carve in fresh pow, but I'd hardly get face shots, I'd skim 2 feet of fresh up to my boot tops. I prefer gettin down and dirty in the pow. as long as you float knee deep, what more do you need?

ya a stiffer ski in the 185cm range don't go bigger than 190.
