Length of Afterbangs?

So I'm getting a pair of brand new 177cm afterbangs (they're in the mail), but I have the option to size down to the 166cm model if I want to. From what I've read shorter skis will be lighter and easier to spin with (of course), but I'll wash out more often on larger jumps. I consider myself an expert regular skier, but only beginner/intermediate in the park, and at 5'9" and 120lbs I'm right in the middle of the two recommended lengths. Tld;dr which one am I better off with?

I think that's gonna come down to how tech you are.....if your the type who can throw a 720 off a two foot kicker I'd go shorter.....if your jus kinda average in park and are doin some medium jumps I'd go longer....because your right in the middle it's kind if a preference trade off thingy....the length will give ya more stability at speed and off bigger jumps but the shorter will be easier to eek in that last 180.

I wouldn't get Afterbangs at all. They are a terrible ski. Heavy, useless out of the park, chip easy, are more prone to snappage, and they soak up water and rot/get more heavy as they get chiped and what not. The skateboard tech thing line has got going is just gimmicky and unpractical. Skateboards aren't durable, they are just cheap.

I wouldn't call my skateboard pretty, but it's held up for a long time, so for now I'm trusting the build quality of the afterbangs, because everybody seems to have their own opinion of them, whether they rode them or not.

Skateboards don't last, you can break one so easily. The whole "build like a skateboard" thing is stupid, skateboards aren't durable, they are just cheap.

Go 177, if you have the 166s and start to progress you will be pissed that you got them and not the bigger ones.
