Leki Trigger S Poles

Anyone ever tried using a pair of Leki world cup poles in the pow? I love the poles for racing and on hard pack but haven't tried the off piste at all. Is there a way to put powder baskets on them? Any advice would be great. Also if anyone has suggestions for different poles that would be great.

I feel like it would be awkward and uncomfortable. I haven't tried it though, I doubt anyone has. What's the advantage of s-poles?

Im talking about the slalom ones that are just straight. 1. the grip in the is almost like a binding in that it releases the special strap during a big fall so you wont bend your wrist as badly and 2. they are just super strong and super light

I wouldnt recommend getting $150 poles for a type of skiing where you are almost certain of bending or breaking them. No matter how strong they are, they are not really meant to handle a person falling on them.

Oh I thought you were literally talking about those poles that are bend like a weird piece of modern art. I'm tired as shit and got a terrible cold right now.

They are POLES they are literally not going to anything positive or negative for your skiing and you sure as hell don't need different ones for different conditions.

Have you ever tried skiing bumps and trees without poles? They make a huge difference if you know how to use them.

If you want to use that system go for it! I know plenty of people that loved it. When your poles break just swap the handles into new ones!

i mean the specific model of pole could not be less important, they all do the exact same thing no one needs a different pair of poles if they want to ski powder

I already have a set of trigger poles from racing but I don't need them for that anymore. My real question is if there is a way to put a powder basket on them since I love the poles but the basket it tiny.

I would look for a leki pow basket take those off use some good glue to glue on the new baskets also a good chance that the basket would fit on it fine.
