i was just watching his king of style entry (which was beyond sick) and noticed a lot of shots from PBP's park section in the video. these shots weren't being used in the movie though! Leigh is a totally sick skier and yet they don't give him any footage in the movie! Anybody else feel like this kid is getting f***ed over by PBP?
 
the shots are from the PBP Jib Jam video. make sure you pick it up its fucking sick, tonnes of unused footy from EDIAS
 
and i'm not sorry for double posting, its his first year with PBP, he'll get the coverage deserved, don't you worry your pretty little brain.
 
no thats how it works, it his first year in their movies......even though i dont feel its fair just like brogan in refresh, but thats how the companies feel.
 
also, they don't just sue every double cork available, there were tons of them in the movie and its more aesthetic to show a broader variety of tricks from different styles and people. Movies have, thank god, not resorted to a single banger trick repeated throughout as have other factions.
 
wasn't it nick martini's first year as well?correct me if i'm wrong but he had a bunch of shots
 
omg.. they have tons of footage from this session and from any other trip of course... u want to see all of it in the movie? yeah, me too:)) but they cant do it... i hope there are tons and tons of unused footage from each rider...
 
yeah man! when i saw EDIAS for the first time it got done and i was like.. wtf wheres all leigh powis's footy? his right as rain edit was sick, i was so stoked to see his part in the movie. total buzzkill
 
He's a bigger name though. I did wish Leigh had some more shots, he's pretty sick
 
Yeah, Leigh and Nick had some sick stuff in the movie. But they both were killing it (harder than some others in the movie) but were still left on the cutting room floor. I wasn't talking about the double corks, I honestly got tired of them after awhile. I just wish PBP gave the up and comers (that have already made names for themselves) the chance to shine.

Not trying to take anything away from Abma or Hatveit, but I don't want to see the same crew from WAR! They were great and still are, but there needs to be a chance for the rookies.
 
Sponsorship.
Leigh is sick as fuck, but rides for Icelantic, who doesn't sponsor Poorboyz, whereas Martini rides for Salomon who is PBP's biggest sponsor...notice how much salomon rider coverage there is?
 
Good point. I guess I'm just sad to see something so new and progressive (freeskiing) already have money influencing the decisions of companies.
 
Ya if your sponsors aren't going to give the production company money you're shit out of luck no matter how good you are.
 
Yeah, like Chug said Leigh is sponsored by Icelantic which for the time being doesn't mean much (even if they do make sick skis) Trust me though if he keeps skiing the way he does, Leigh won't be underground for long.
 
dude andreas is probably the best park skier in the world and his brother's the best follow cam guy. abma always slays big mtn. as good as leigh no doubt is, you must be high if you think he's better than andreas...
