-Have an used pair of your most confortable shoes ideally old skate shoes with your used foam footprint

-Take the soles off 'em

-Swap the soles

-Put the ski boots soles on top of the old skate shoes soles if boot is large/wide enough if not do not perform this step

-DIY professionnal grade boot fitting

-Do not have to wait to break in new boots

-Improve confort and precision

This isn't awful advice but spend $50 on some new insoles, keep your skate shoes, and be better off in the long run. Stock ski boot insoles are absolutely worthless.

it means saving money on recycling old insoles from used shoes instead of spending money buying new ones.

it's simple and cost effective, downvotes are rich kids cucks who will get the job done by someone else before trying to fix it by themselves the gnarly way like a real OG mind would always do.
 
Ski boot footbeds and regular shoe insoles are not the same. Have you never felt a real footbed? Sure adding an old insole might make it a more comfortable but it’s not remotely close to boot fitting.

So cut the soles off my ski boots and an old shoes, and attach the shoe top to my boot soles? Dah fuq
 
The best course of action if you dont want to shell out $200 for a custom footbed is to see if you have a low, medium, or high arch and then spend $50 on trim to fit footbeds. I mean if this works then you do you, but $50 is chump change in the grand scheme of skiing. Personally, boots are the absolute last thing that I cheap out on with skiing. I would much rather have good footbeds and wear a jacket that costs $50 less than the other way around
 
i finally went to a boot fitter today,

dude was about to sell me some sidas insoles but i got him into the legendary ski boots fitting hack to prove him wrong.

dude apologized, and said "sorry ma G fr ngl i didn't knew about the legendary ski boots fitting hack damn"

i asked for a supervisor and dude str8 came at us and said "fr ngl ma G skate shoes insoles can even go on top of the sidas insoles tha legendary ski boots fitting hack is true ma G aou aou aou aouuuu"
