Legalize Marijuana!!

recreational sense.... generally people do smoke to get high.... but also...at our age.. people generally drink to get drunk man... im 16.... it might change once you get to college a little bit.. having a beer with some pizza or somthing..... but up until a later age.. people drink to get drunk.... but its the same with weed... people smoke to get high... but up intil a certain point

you may want to research some of this too... its actually proven that weed has never killed anyone.. weather it be cancer... or from any circumstances.... weed as an ingredient which actually decreases the risk of cancer in your throat and upper lungs... *plus* people who smoke cigerettes... tipically smoke 20 a day (1 pack)... 1 joint is said to have the amount of "tar" that 4 cigs have.. well this is true... but its a less harsh tar.. which only amounts to about 1 cig. so if people smoke 3 joints a day.. which is alot.. and most people who smoke dont smoke 3 j's a day.. compared to the pack a day smoker.... even if you smoke 3 j's a day.. its 3/20 as bad.... thats why people dont get cancer from smoking weed or die in any way...

people have a point when they say it shouldnt become legal and widespread. it's just like if you see a T-shirt for your favorite underground band suddenly on sale at Hot Topic. the band's music is just as good, but somehow it seems less special. i'm all for decriminalization, but seriously, i dont want to open a magazine and see an ad for "MARLBORO CANNABIS LIGHTS"

yea man i dont shop at Hot Topic, i was using that as an example. Hot Topic is so fucking stupid. Because of them, anarchy has been reduced from a legit political philosophy to nothing more than a poser fashion logo. Because of them, the soul of hundreds of bands has been corrupted by 12 year olds who downloaded one of the band's songs off of Kazaa sporting mass produced t-shirts...shit im starting to rant

in legalizing weed the gov. would put some ridiculous tax on, much like cigs today but at a much higher price. it would also be controlled by the same people (as someone said earlier) that make cigs (marb., etc.) it would be sick not having to hide the fact that u smoke, which i can see everyone here, REALLLLLY cares about, but with regard to drug testing and all. i just dont no if its worth it

howwwwever in legalizing, it would allow for the growth of marijuana obviously. which unlike tobacco at the time is a very narrow industry. with the legalized growth, much greater amounts will be available at a time, thus lowering the price. ud still have to accept the crapload of taxes that will be piled on, but overall it may equal out

So many pros and cons to this subject. So much money would be saved by taking marijuana out of the picture on the war on drugs. Accident rates would definetly go up though considering everyone handles pot a little differently, you'd have some idiots not being able to handle driving the car while high and killing innocent people. Parts of the economy could also suffer in that people would get lazier and less productive. There are so many more but I really don't feel like listing them all.
