Legalization of Weed vrs. Lower drinking age

Which would you rather preferr, a drinking age of 18, or the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes (see Cali prop 215 and Senate Bill 420)?

I cant figure out which i would preferr.
 
weed, i can wait like 3 more years to legally drink, where weed will always be illegal the other way.
 
haha i find this funny! everywhere else in the world is 18 or lower where they dont care, like europe, but not america or canada! so weed as drinking for me is already fine!
 
what would the government make more money off of taxes? and what would allow companies to make more money? prob weed. so weed.
 
maybe not legalization but a bit of tolerance. treat it as if it were smoking except you couldnt drive

Only like 5 countries in the world including the United States have a drinking age as high as 21. But, as hypocritical as I'm about to sound right now, I don't want a buch of retarded ass 19 year old drunks in the bars that I go to. I was staying at my parents house when they were out of town and my little brother came home from college and invited a bunch of freshmen and sophomore's over and it was annoying as fuck.
 
You say that they would legalize weed for medical purposes? Then it would still be illegal to use it for non-medical purposes. If that's the case, then alcohol, of course. But if I could legally buy and smoke the bud, then definitely weed. Wasn't there a thread not too long ago that there was a bill to legalize bud?
 
dude tobacco companies have already bought rights to names for their funny cigs when pot becomes legal. i don't really give a shit about the drinking age. i'm almost 21 so it won't matter in like 3 months.

although i would like to say weed, i know a lot of people who dont smoke but drink a lot. it would be much better to lower the drinking age as it would bring college (and some high school) underground drinking out into the public. people wouldnt be afraid to call 911 if there was ever a problem. many college students wont call in fear for themselves and getting introuble, esp if they have had previous run ins with the law.

my opinion about drinking age; it should be dependent of the year not the date of birth. What's the difference from my buddy who is born in January and another buddy born in december.. So if the drinking age is 19 and you're born in 1989, for example, on January 1st every would be able to drink not just those with an early birthday. And thats my two cents..
 
def weed because marijuana for medical purposes would actually be helping people vs. lower drinking age would just make it easier for 18 year olds to get drunk
 
WEED, because

1. Being high is way more fun than getting smashed( mainly because you dont get hung over or possibly puke everywhere)

and 2. because i live 45 min from quebec so i just have to wait until 18, BITCHES.
 
no but for real no one drinks before being 21? in quebec everyone i know had already been drunk at least once before being 16... like you're not really in trouble if you drink underage...
 
drinking age shoudnt be lowered. this is coming from a kid (me) who is under 21 and drinks. i just dont think its necessary. it'd keep a lot of careless kids off the street driving drizunk. weed though HAS to be legalized

Alcohol is gay as balls anyways. Once you guys open your eyes a little you'll notice there are many other drugs that are way better and way less damaging to your body. Until then you=fail.
 
i know this is a one or the other, but both really should be legal. i mean weed we could make bank on, get our country out of debt, and stop wasting as much money on the DEA. and drinking, i mean c'mon people 18 can go to iraq fight for our country, and die, but they can't even decide weather or not they want to drink. that seems pretty fucked up to me.

if they did legalize marijuana, it would be only available for like, cancer patients and other people experiencing severe pain, so it would still be illegal for you to smoke it
 
if they lowered the drinking age then they should raise the age on getting your drivers license especially if they lowered it to 18 cause kids are still in high school at 18, i dont know about anyone else but i would drink beer at lunch break.

I would def be for legalizing the buds though, smoking bud has never done any harm to anyone!
