Legal driving ages in your states

hey im from the state NSW in australia...

16 get your learners permit, meaning you must have a fully licensed driver with you in the front seat at all times

17 first level of provisional licence (red P's) theres a few restrictions and stuff but basically free roam

18 second level of provisionals (green P's) with less restrictions but stil a 0.00 BAC

then its like 20 for full licence!

fair bit more restrictions than indianna!

here in edmonton alberta canada it is

14 for permit

and then 16 for gld license

and then 18 to get full license (just allowed to drink)

Manitoba, Canada:

Learners:15.5 but only if you take driver's ed, otherwise 16. Have to then wait 9 months before you can take the licence test.

Intermediate Licence: you have this for about a year before you can upgrade. There are some restrictions, but I can't remember them all. I think one is that you can't carry more than 1 passenger past 12:00 midnight..

Full Licence: you then have the full rights of a registered driver.

16 for permit 16 and a half for license. then another year before you can drive with your friends in the car. Fuck CT

16 for permit/ liscence... you can get your liscence as soon as 3 months after you get your permit or as soon as you finish the courses shit

16 for permit, 16.5 for junior license. 18 for adult license (allowed out past 11, plus allowed more points) this is in PA.

should be until after you graduate. high school. People who are too dumb to do that are too dumb to drive a car.

And I am talking about an actual diploma, not a GED or any of those other lame ass 'equivalents'

riding the school bus builds character anyhow.

Yep, I got my license when I was a freshmen and some of my friends had their's the summer after 8th grade.

In new hampshire its 15 a permit 16 a half liscense and 16.5 a full.i think there changing it soon so anyone born after 94' has to wait till 16.5 for a permit.

it doesn't make sense to any of us man...

but at 16 i got my permit and had my junior license 2 months later and didn't worry about restrictions. was pulled over a few times too before the 6 month mark and before i was 18 and i still have a license today so yeah fuck it..

oh yeah NY but in the city i'm pretty sure its 17 for permit 18 for license. and if your supposed to be 18 to cross and of the bridges into new york city...

here in nb canada it used to be at 16 you get a permit, then in 4 months (if you take drivers ed) you get a learners license (basically a full license). Now as i turn 16 its at 16 you have your permit for 8 months even with drivers ed, and once I get my license there is a bunch of new stupid rules like a max of 3 people in any vehical and no driving after midnight. And you dont get your class 5 (full) license till you are 21

wtf? In wisconsin, you get your permit at 15.5 and GDL license from 16-16.55. That's not that far behind other states
