Legal age?

Is there a legal age to be working at Whistler? Because I have 18 and my friend has 17. We were wondering if we could work there. And for the bars... I know it's 19 :( that sucks haha!

All you need to be bondable is a Canadian S.I.N. or a work visa... the former requires that you're 16, the latter is almost impossible to get anyway.

I just checked it out and the bc government website says that the legal age to have a full-time job is 15. So I guess there's no problem.

you only need to 15, but lots of places will prefer 19 for legal issues. But theres lots of places that will hire younger people, just wont be the best job.

I worked at IGA at 15 when I first moved up here... but that didn't last long. Most places will hire if you don't look like a complete skid and have a decent resume/applicable skills regardless of age.

apparently you can be 9 years old and work at timmy hohos in sqampton. there were about 8 of them the other day, i swear they couldnt even reach the coffee machine
