Leg Hair and Boots? Weird..

Alright so I got new 1080 boots that finally are my correct size, and I used them this weekend for the first time and my shins were on fire. Obviously I was mad sore because I havent rode in a year, but why did my shins hurt so bad, it felt like the boot was tearing the shit out of my leg hair

The question is: Anyone else have this problem? Anyone shave their shins or anything, cause this is getting ridiculous, i had this problem last year with old boots sort of, or Do I need to just break in my boots more?

Wierd question I know, but someones gotta have an answerr to the new boot talk and this weird situation

It is the friction ripping the hairs or burning them off your legs... happens to me too... it usually happens at the start of the season because your hair has grown back from last season but then your boots rip out most of the hair on your legs again so than it grows back again... catch my drift? its the bootleg cycle

i dont get it on my shins i get it on the back of my calves. and it hurts pretty bad, i was thinking about it yesterday and by the end of last season the hair was worn off in areas that were rubbing inside my boots so im just gonna wait for it to happen because it doesnt hur tthat bad, and i dont wanna look like a fag.

i was going to go for a quad daffy but i was like, why huck? -mommy

i shave my shins. its hilarious, cause it goes from harry as hell to completly shaved. and to anwser your question: it helps tremendously! definatly take the time to do it. it sucks the first time (so much hair to shave off), but if you hit them real quick once a week or so while in the shower, it isnt a problem. it makes a huge diufference on long days especially.

I always use ankle socks.... you evetually get used to the hair coming out... and once you ski a few times pretty much all the hair is ripped out in areas with friction.. you will not notice it midway through the season anymore

be sure to go witha thin sock, they help loads. the hair on my calves is already worn off, but it might be a good idea to shave teh rest off. boots are designed with a thin sock in mind, meaning you get better control even with a loose boot, because us freeskiiers dont like the tight racer boots

when i was 2 my parents put me on a pair of sticks.....i have been running wild ever since.

i rode okemo yesterday on my cousins 1080 boots and that was the first time...never had a worse case of shin bang ever...i think its more like when someone gets u to squeeze ur chin for a minute and it gets all sore and red after...i think thats what happens to ur shins

Happens to me all the time, even with tech socks. I just take it as one of those things you have to deal with, like lift lines and icy days.

you coined the problem ive been having ever since i got my 1080 boots. The shin hair thing only happens in my 1080 boots and it hurts like no other. When i was done skiing at Baker the other day i pulled a huge clump of leg hair out of my sock, it sucked! Anyways, it is not only shin hair, but shin bang as well. For some people, like myself, the atonomy of my leg does not fit the boot properly. I put on some nordica beasts, and those were money. I also slipped this shin gaurd/pad thing inbetween my shin and the tongue, and that did wonders as well. If it persists, bet footbeds and padding cause you will never just grow out of it...i know i didnt!

god people, just take a razor to um, and your set. in fact, i garentee youll never have that problem.

It doesn't happen to my shins, but every season my calves go bald from the boot rub. It grows back during the summer and then it's gone again by mid-December. It also happens to my thighs from rubbing on my pants too.

I don't know karate, but I know Ka-razy

My leg hair has actually been sore after riding before, Like it hurt to rub against my pant's and when my dick fell out of my boxer's and hit my knee cap i felt like i got shot!

^^^^ five0 wen do people get u 2 squeeze ur chin 4 a minute ? that sounds like a pretty wack thing 2 do.

its a trick u used to play on other kids...u squeeze ur chin hard for a minute or something and when u let go u get red marks that stay for like hours and it hurts to touch try it
