hum, do you guys ever start to specify based on the edges what ski goes on which foot. i always end up doing this once i put separate stickers on each ski........it's kinda shitty, i feel so uncomfotable if the skis on on the right foot. maybe im just crazy......

with my pocket rockets i always have the one with the design infront of the binding on my left foot. There isnt any damage to the edges yet /cause i havent used them in a month.

You should definantely base which ski goes on which foot by how much base/edge damage you have. For example, I have a pretty good size knick on one of my edges, I make sure that is on the outside because naturally you less time on your outside edge...

if you ski for a while with them on certain feet, then switch them halfway through the season, then you will be riding on your sharper edges

i have to have my ski with the broekn tail on my right foot,if i dont it feels wierd for some reason,i dunno

friend: You want a piece of garlic bread?

me: no thanks,im not a vampire.

i have mavricks and the only way to tell the diff is the base, so i just put them on and ignore which side is which

the whole left/right thing is worth it in three instances

a) racing, you have a racing edge and a training edge

b) if you damage an edge, switch the skis around so they ride better

c) pure superstition, i always ride my darksides with them on SPECIFIC feet, just cause its what i always do

yeah ski market puts left and right things on them, i just do it that way for the hell of it

my skis have left and right stickers on it. Thats because the boots have different wear on them and if you don't have them on the right boots it compromises din settings. Not that it matters much.

My girlfriend told me to shove my skis up my ass

my friend has the scratches but cant wear them on the right foot bc the edges got messed and so the girls always on the outside he gets so pissed when like 12 yr olds start trying to give him shit and there like ''hey, i tihnk the girls supposed to be on the inside'' its great

my friend: no it doesnt , it has a twist.

i switch which skis i wear every day, so the edges wear evenly

ive got salomon 720s. when you putthe skis one way they make the salomon symbol, and of you put them on opposit feet, you cant tell what all the lines on them are. its not like it really looks stupid, but for some reason i feel uncomfortable when i put them on backwards. its starting to mess me up because i usually only slide rails one way so now my edges are fucked.

i got this years 1080's and i put the one with the salomon symbol on top on the right foot, just cause it's like a psychological thing, and superstitous too.

i am superstisious, when i wrecked really bad and broke my hip for no apparent reason, they were on the wrong feet, i always put them on the right feet now

I hear you man I'm hella superstitious, I always sticker my skis up and I've got a left ski and a right ski and that's the way I like it damnit! If I switch it up it's bad vibes.

Ya, I do that out of pure superstition. When my skis were new I couldn't tell the difference and I liked it cause I did it with my old skis too and it pissed me off, but now they have all sorts of knicks on them so I can tell them apart and always put them on the same feet, it annoys me though, I dont like being superstitious.

i heard (dont know if its true or not so dont be a dick about it) that skis were designed to go on certain feet.

skis like the maverick or scratches that have designs meant to go a certain was apparently are also desgined to bend and torque in certain areas for that specific foot.

for example most people spin to their left doing tricks. so they make the inside edge of your right ski torsionally softer than the left so if you catch edge when landing the ski is not stiff as hell and rips your leg off.

i dunno if that is true or pure bullshit, but thats what i heard.

i know from my experience i was told my a proshop tec to always ski the same ski on the same foot and never change no matter what. he claimed that it prolongs the life of the ski by not wearing down the core as fast. i dont see how thats true but thats what he told me. he also said its the same reason snowboards dont take their bindings off, flip them, and remount them each season.

one edge on my candides is broken in two places. i wear it on the right so i spend less time on that part. before it was broken i would always put my skis on the same feet everytime.

is there really a left and right ski? because i always just throw the skis down and put them on

I don't care which ski goes on which foot, but if I am trying lots of rails, I will switch feet in the middle of the day to not wear down one ski too much.

i put my skis on. . cause the stickers always come off. . but i've got a hole in my top sheet on my rigth ski, so that helps when putting them on

I've heard of people who switch which foot they put their skis on for rails, and for the rest of the mountain. I don't know if it helps.

I only think certain slalom skis have left and right anymore. But I have a Homemade Yin-Yang on the left 1080 tip and right 1080 tail. Superstitous I guess.... looks phat though I took a white electric sticker and a black one laid them on top of each other and cut them in half matched the opposite colors up. Makes a sweet yin-yang

Very few skis were ever engineered with an asymmetrical sidecut or flex pattern. One of the more recent examples was the Atomic 9.11 (or 10.11) hypercarver. There is also a new radical telemark ski that has specific L+R.

Switching skis up is a good idea to keep the edge wear even. The new graphics and stickers make this easy to remember. Unless of course, you've ruined an edge or sidewall.
