Leddy Park Is Done...

So to follow up with Ross's post, Leddy is DONE.

We made the call and spoke with the staff at Leddy, unless you are with one of us, or Ross (and select few others) you will be kicked out no questions asked.

Leddy is town property, not a place for kids to steel shit, drink, and smoke. It's a park used by familys and other inidividuals and we have been very fortunate over the past 3-4 years to be allowed to use it for sessions.

Well no more, if we catch you there without express permission you will be told to leave.

If you know the kids who left the place trashed, or who jacked the rails (or Ben's Skis and Poles) we will offer a reward.

That's right, if you know who was there yesterday 11/3/09 and can give us names, numbers, addresses, we WILL GIVE YOU A REWARD (most likely $$$$).

You can thank all the little immature fuckers for ruining it for everyone. Just hope the same doesn't happen to Burton.

Shoot us a line if you know anything about the stolen items.
 
WTF I was hoping to hit up Leddy this weekend because I have never been. I don't blame Leddy for not letting kids go there anymore if they are acting like little immature fucks. I guess we have to resort to lugging snow to Burton for now on. That sucks that shit got stolen.
 
Yeh it sucks big time, would be nice to get the jacked skis back, but it's not gonna happen.

And yeh looks like it's Burton or Bust from here on out, just hope kids don't decide to start trashing Burton again. Tired of cleaning up after people.
 
How do your skis get stolen while you are there using them?

Why do you guys get special permission to ride at Leddy?
 
i'll start by saying i don;t know any of the people involved in this story... i live 5 hours away actually.... i do however work at a rink.

its crazy to think that a place of business or a city run facility would allow you to be there in the first place. it seems that by magic, you guys were able to get a spot to jib right at the source of slush. amazing. good work...

the rink i work at barely allows people to take snow from the back. absolutly no one is allowed to set things up on their property... why? because its their business, thats why.

smoking in plain sight? the reprocussions are obvious there...

the fact that people are trashing Leddy will cause a wave of bull shit the likes of which you've never seen. Rink managers talk to eachother... the UVM rink may likely be the next spot where you'll deal with pissed off zamboni guys and angry security gaurds.

i lived up there in B town many years ago and i promise, it wasnt as easy as moving slush a 100 yards to set up a rail... you guys have no idea how good you had it...

to Jib-life and your crew... best of luck with your hunt. I hope things mellow up there and you can enjoy some sessions in peace.
 
when did this happen...soo many of us were there sunday, and when i left at like 4 everything thing seemed cool

Last night some people cut the chain, used the rails, left them out, along with a good deal of trash and general disrespect.

I don't think anyone is saying that they have a special leddy pass... but there probably aren't going to be rails left there anymore.

Just use common sense...
 
Yeah, by all means, bring your own shit and session. Build your own shit. Put in some effort.

I'm just saying, my rails are NOT public and I thought the lock made that pretty clear.

I really wish I could trust you guys to be responsible, but that's not the case. Trust me, I don't like the fact that I have to lock my shit up, but yesterday just proves why it's necessary. And when you fucking retards leave it out, I take it back.

its not just newschoolers who use leddy park and the rails. other skiers/snowboarders in the area know about it and ride it too.
 
it's shitty no matter how you put it. And the "special permission" is basically just as follows.

If your there and the rink guys see you and can't ID anyone, then they will most likely ask you to leave. That's what it's come to.

They will let some people slide by because they know that we always take care of our shit and clean up after ourselves, and go out of our way to uphold the fact that it is a TOWN PARK.

So just don't be all butt hurt if you get asked to leave, just pack your stuff up respectfully and clean up and move on.

And no, NS'ers are not the only ones who use leddy, and it's very likely that those who did this have never even heard of this site.

And Ben brought two pairs of skis, one for a friend to use because he had none, and that extra pair was jacked during the session. There were a ton of kids there when it happened. Not the end of the world, just goes to speak to the types of people who are now coming to Leddy.

If your a good person and follow the rules then don't fret, this isn't a message for you.
 
damn thats a bummer...well big up to ross for making those rails, sunday was a blast and im bummed to hear that they didnt last much longer than that
its a shame that a few ppl fuck shit up for everyone else who has fun there and is repectful
 
I''ll add that the broken rail in the woods was made by me and some friends in like 20 minutes. if anyone wants to fix it and keep using it, thats fine with me. as far as ross's rails... thats fucked. if a rails is locked up, its obviously not meant for you to use.

that is the rail that kids dismantled one night....

Def took longer then 20 minutes to make haha, and then the next day some kids smashed it apart to ghetto rig some other set up.

it was pretty whack when I showed up with friends on saturday, not even to ski.. just to chill on the lake, and found 3-4 rails left out.. one of those rails completely dismantled.. ended up putting them back in the woods during near hurricane-like conditions.

as far as taking another persons skis, that's real fucked up.. fuck you to whoever took ben's shit.
 
what? nah, dan broke it doing a tailpress or some shit. it definitely took only 20 minutes for that rail (not including the time we spent fixing the other one), thats why it was done in a few hours.

anyways, my take on things is dont leave the rails or garbage out, if you break something, put it in the woods... and if you want to use rails that are there, be willing to fix them. dont use rails that are locked up if you dont have keys, and dont saw chains.
 
yeh that rail, last I saw it, was dismantled for some ghetto rigged set up.

Unless I was looking at the wrong one, I am pretty sure it was the one we had built that night, the same one dan broke, that was completely dismantled.
 
that's fucked that kids do that. I've never even been to Leddy Park but I've heard of a shit load of kids that sesh it. No one seems to know how to respect things anymore. Whoever stole the skis, I hope you get ass raped by a monkey.
