Sorry, NO. The Who started as a british invasion band but turned borderline progressive and experimental, putting importance on the lyrics and the created atmosphere while remaining rock, albeit with NO importance whatsoever on soloing. Bass is given a much more important place. Guitar melodies are important.

Led Zeppelin is a classic blues band that turned hard rock (hard for it's days, buddy). Song structure, mostly simple, no real experimentation (not counting alternate tunings), certainly not progressive, MAJOR importance on soloing in songs, no real importance on lyrics, more the instrument that is the voice of Plant. Melodies? Try bone-crunching riffs instead. Bass in only there, nothing more.

Both are about as good as you can get, but not the same at FUCKING ALL.
 
i dont know how anyone could like plant the best, hes annoying as hell, and by far the least talented of the group

I had understood that you were saying "Shut the fuck up" to people that were saying that Led Zep were comparable to no one. My bad.
