what do yall think about this kid, besides the fact hes good as all hell. i mean he STARTS in his first two games ever in the nba and scores 25 points in the first, 28 in the second... thats more than two times as many a micheal jordan did. AND hes 18, straight out of highschool. this kid has got it made......

lebron had a nice breakout game, but thats not how he usually performs. look at his preseason...alot of people lost hope in him. his team can't even win a game, which also says something. carmelo on the other hand is on a winning team (beat the champs their first game) and he does have good figures even though he hasnt had a breakout game yet in the regular season. carmelo is a much better player than lebron and his flash.

yes he is a great player and has shown that he can hang, but the team is loosing to teams they should beat with the talent they have. LeBron is going to be the rookie of the year if he keeps playing how he is now, but that doesnt mean n e thing if your team doesnt do shit.

Yeah but it has nothing to do with fame. He's just flat out damn good. He's gonna have a good first season but once he gets use to the nba he's gonna be unstoppable. You just don't get numbers like that against the kings by luck, especially in your first nba game. Just look at nba stars like kobe, jordan, and duncan. They didn't have numbers like lebron did in their first game.

yeah carmelo put up 23 points against sacramento, and he had 6 rebounds and 5 assists, and also in tonights game he scored 13 to lebron's 7

whoever said carmelo led him team to a win is a dumbass, I was there and their leading scorer was Earl Boykins, plus Barry hit some clutch threes...Carmelo didnt have that sweet of a ame considering Lebron also had 10 dishes and like 8 boards..

Bottom line Lebron is way more a complete player with more upside..

It was cool by the way since it was his first game people like Jay-Z Ken Griffey Jr. Maurice Clarrett and others were there

LeBron spent last season dominating on the high-school level, but Carmelo dominated on the collegiate level and in the Final Four against much stronger competition. Melo deserves to be viewed as the best guy. His attitude is more mature than LeBron's, and he's more team-oriented. Melo is the kind of guy who will win rings. The Cavs are 0-4. Carmelo has a much lower chance of being a flop, and will be much better than LeBron in the immediate future. carmelo has proven that he can play with grown up men, who does Lebron play with? i'll tell you. kids, sixteen and seventeen year olds. i gotta admitt he's a phenom, he plays well for his age, it's just that carmelo is much stronger and has proven himself.

SUpilot, I don't see how you can say melo is more team oriented. Have you seen the consistent numbers of assists LeBron has been putting up? His teammates have already commented on his unselfishness. You can't lay the blame all on LeBron for his team winning. It's not like the Wizards became a great team when they had Jordan. Granted, Jordan was nowhere close to his prime when playing with them, but it proved that his level of leadership couldn't make a team a winner. I've watched 3 of LeBron's games, and I don't know where someone would get off calling him flashy either. Noone at this stage can legitimately say who is going to be better.

 
you can't lay all of the blame on lebron, but you can lay most of it upon him. he is a key player and thats why the cavs chose him. they didnt want more assists...they wanted someone to step it up and put points on the board. he sucks. he can't shoot worth a shit. he blew ass in the preseason too, which i do believe is some relfection, to a certain extent, as to how his season will go. its a good thing he has his shoe deal. carmelo is a game winner who isnt afraid to score.......and pass when needed. all in all the cavs need a scoring machine who is an allaround player. not another passer.

Carmelo is gonna lead the nuggets to the 9th playoff spot in the west....wait there is no 9th playoff spot...maybe next year they will make the 8th. But yeah Carmelo seems really chill because he's not out there to pad his stats...he wants to win....so yeah I like that in a player. Go Nuggies!
