Learning to tell a better story

I've realized growing up in a rural area my friends and I got into some crazy stuff, but my horrible communication skills make the story sound like "me and some friends once broke into a house and stole a bunch of stuff. It was crazy."

I wish I could story tell like Bert Kreischer

But how do you become a better story teller?

Go to school. Not even talking about becoming a storyteller just saying go to school.

I find getting blackout drunk makes the story more interesting. Also do interesting shit. If you do things that are interesting, the stories will be better than if you did lame things.

If you smoked meth and robbed a 7/11 I'd probably refresh the thread for updates and rate you 10/10. That would be a good story.

i don't think the problem is that he doesn't have stuff to tell stories about, it's that he's miserable at telling stories so it makes these epic events seem lame.

I have a buddy at school who is a miserable story teller. Takes a simple like 4 sentence story and draws it out for so long

Especially if you implement a blackout cam.

In that vein, a few of my buddies have decided to roofie themselves for this party next weekend and wear their gopros.

needless to say potential bail money has been gathered in advance

My point is that if he smoked meth and robbed a 7/11 he wouldn't have to worry about that because we would be interested.

NEws story or it didn't happen op

you could go to one of those events, or listen to the radio show.

However, I have to say that I've encountered more amazing stories/storytellers around campfires while dirtbagging/camping at climbing destinations than everywhere else combined... so maybe do that.

Watch good standup comedy. They're literally in the profession of telling stories.

A good story told poorly is worse than a poor story told well.
