ok so i can land 360's 720's and 900's but i can only do the pencil style and i was wondering if anyone had tip for good grabs to learn.

what were you doing when you started? never did grabs? i mean, i am just wondering, cuz normally you just learn grabs before spins, but ok.

i would say that you just have to do them, for me it works, you have to kill the fear that you loose control or whatsoever.

and if i cant grab a spin safety, i wouldnt say that you can do it, but that is just me.

i love how these newbs exagerate their skiing skill in order not to receive flak. I'm sorry but if you can't grab a 3 then you for sure can't land a 9, which IS difficult.

how do you know? he said he was a moguls skier, which seems pretty resonable to me for a reason that he cant grab.

I suppose, and I apologize if I am indeed wrong. If just seems if you could land smooth 9s grabs would be a breeze.

yes he is right, seems pretty understandable, just focus on the grab, it should be easy on tricks that you can land easily.

if you can, get skis center mounted, it makes it soooo much easier to grab the tail of your ski

also when you spin, try a 1 at first and look back to where ur ski is and grab it with ur hand, bring your legs up too

start with a safety tho (grab right ski at binding with right hand, or left ski with left and) and do a slow 3

i dont know, but i have the same problem, i can do 3s so easy and i have landed 7s, but i cant get anything more than a safety grab into my 3, but when straight airing or doing 180s i can do any grab, like even double grabs.....i dont know what my problem is

Well just bring you skis up. Try jumping w/o popping and go off with your knees bent, then just work it in. It just takes practice. But seriously, 900? Those are hard to land if its a small jump like 40 feet cuz you don't have much time you gotta get the distance pretty much the same every time or else you over rotate so I am not seeing it. This one dude I know who is really good says its muscle memory.

Speaking of, do yall think I should stop trying the 900/1080 on a 35-40 foot table (its the second jump of three in the rail yard, just got my DT pass and today the dude advised against hitting the DT jumps)? Thing is I don't know what else to do I'm working the mute into my 5s and 7s and I can sw5 so I just don't know. I keep hurting myself.
