This weekend i realy want to learn how to do cork 7's and on the trampoline i can do em perfect nd can even like cork 12.. but ive been looking at videos and EVERYONE throws there corks foward when they do it on skis. what should i do? is there a way to throw it back?
not everyone throws them forward on skis. Just have to go out and try a few. Build a jump into power and learn backflips, then underflips (back 1s) and then d7s. Your air awareness will be much better and you will know exactly what you need to do to get a cork 7 around. Since you can already do them on a tramp, just do the same thing off a jump...
Honestly if you have it down on the tramp then you can throw it on snow. I remember waaaaaaaaay back when i tried my first d-spin I landed first try because i had practiced so much on tramp.
alrite bro thanks, now im madd confident.. cuz i can do cork 7 like its nothing on trmap. i can do it off like fences too nd shit so ill think ill b good
one of the first tricks is a cork 7 in slow motion. tricks that help me are pop hard off my inside right edge and puff out your chest throughout the rotation and keep looking for that landing till you see it
This is how I feel too, OP. I stomp them on a trampoline like nothing but just feel sketchy to throw them on skis. Anybody know what size jump I should hit to get used to them?
thanks, yea only thing im sketchy about is throwing it fowards since ive never tried it that way. can anyone post a video of someone throwing a cork 7 please?
How does he throw it forward? He's popping, setting his spin, dropping his left shoulder, and then brings his right hip over and around his left. Text book cork. Can you explain what you mean by "forward"?
thats about as standard as a cork you can do on snow. So your either not doing cork on a trampoline, or you cannot understand that when you hit a jump you have forward momentum.
It's not thrown forward, those guys just aren't spinning downward. They are popping and setting their spin normally, while using their heads to go off axis.
I understand what you mean with throwing it forwards, I felt the excact same about it actually. All the times I tried cork 7s the trampoline way on skis a always ate shit! But I just learned them this week and now their pretty easy, my best advice is to check out the Ask Turpin Cult and check out his threads on doing corks. Basically try a normal 7 with a reverse safety and hold the grab all they way. It worked really well for me! Also try setting the spin harder than you think but you will probably understand it if you try.
Hope this helps
those are perfect corks. they would only turn into d-spins if you threw harder back at the lip. through a 720 and lean back a little in the air. ill show you at creek julian
you should be able to do them comfortably on the trampoline without traveling backwards. by travelling so far backwards, you're really not setting and carrying out the rotation properly.
I don't know why you and my friend think that that is "forward". it is indeed a cork. but just go for it exactly how you would on the trampoline. Im trying to teach my friend but he either underflips or d spins.. anyway. just spin with the tranny of the jump. instead of flat. i think they're easyier than some ppl think.
he may be thinking of a bio spin but i have seen some wierd cork like tris=cks where the person does throw it kinda forward, but go with throwing back--so much esier
i just think of setting for the spin and then just dip my left sholder as i leave the lip, you can dip it in diff amounts to go less or more cork od into d spin(inverted cork) when i learned it i worked my way going more and more cork fot like 5 runs
