im trying to learn backs on my tramp and throw one on skis before the seasons over. but how the fuck do you do it? my legs go but by upper body twictches and stays there. i can do lincolns, fronts, and misties fine. and dont give me grow some balls. can i have some constructive help? thanks.

Then look back and grab your knees with your hands. At half way you can spread out, but you will fell like you aren't rotating anymore. Just keep your eyes on your landing and pull your knees to your chest and your legs will come around. This is a 100% land on your 1st time promise. Its easier than a 360.'

all about commitment.....when you pop throw you head and sholders up and back....keep looking ,hard, until you see the landing...it WILL come around if you commit....once you see the ground you can judge weather too pull your feet under quicker or slower.....this is the layed out version which i find easier......remember..as long as you keep looking until see the landing you wont stop the rotation and land on your head...it will be easier than you think.....good luck!

 
start out the non layed out where you like your sitting in a chair: kick your feet and thattl give ya the rotation

should i practice by rolling backwards on teh tramp? i just gotta get the commitment down. when i do it my legs do it but my upper body dont. so like i turn my head sideways and my legs go over. thanks for the help guys.

 
really just jump really hard, not only to get a good bounce but to pop hard into the flip. as soonb as youre shooting straight up throw your head back and bring your legs around.

i promise as soon as you commit it and stick it, youll sit there marveling at how easy it is

whats with that you can misty you can front flip and you can linclon but you cant do backflips sounds like a load of bs but basically if you can do that and not backflip you do need to grow some balls lol

misterbinz used a good explanation. That's the same one I give, because it's the one i learned from. Just throw your head back and then tuck your legs to your chest dude...dont start it by throwing your arms and legs, you will have much less control.

cruZ your an idiot, everyone else here is trying to help the dude out. He said not to say anything like 'grow some balls' but you just had to mock him. Anyways another good way to learn a backflip is if you have a ropeswing into the water, usually every lake has one, so if you screw up backflipping on that you wont hurt yourself, thats how I learned. A rope swing is just like a trampoline when you try to backflip.

Sorry, I was mad that night.

Come into the lip with a good amount of speed, more then enoguh to clear the table. When you start to leave the lip, pop and throw your should back. Make sure its a nice smooth motion, and dont huck it too fast, you flip faster then you think. Once you throw it, look back with your neck until your landing comes into view. At this point you can bring your skis down and stomp it clean. Youll get it forst or second try gaurentted if you just commit to it and dont pussy out

Trust me man...on the tramp try laying it out McKonkey style.You might not quite make it all the way around first but you'll only land on you knees at worst..way better that over rotating!The you just set it with progresivly more rotation till you stomp it! then pick a kicky jump with a slushy knuckle and landing(Should be at leat 15 foot long),commit too the jump set hard and look for the knuckle/landing.....too easy

 
it depens what kind of jump tables atleast 15 for your first few but dont give up if u eat it a few times very few ppl land them there first attempts but there danm easy hell iv been on a tramp probable 3 in my life done no flips on it and i learned backs on a jump with 8 feet of air that was only 2 feet of the ground so being able to do them on a tramp cant be that big of a deal

jumo size- around 20 feet, make sure its a smooth jump, andit has a good inrun so you dont have to be like skating in while youre about to do your first back
