Learning After Effects

I want to learn After Effects over the winter break and was wondering if any NSers could shoot me down the right path.

I have a watched a view tutorials but I don't really know how to apply the tools they talk about. Let me know!

What are you wanting to learn? VFX? Just go on YouTube, plenty of resources.

Understanding the basics is the most important, which i just learned through trial and error, but all of the effects are applied the same exact way, and once you understand, for example "Warp Stabilizer vfx" you can use any effect or preset you'd like

I didn't put a ton of time into it, but it was hands down the hardest Adobe program to learn. I still haven't figured it out

after effects honestly just takes practice. Its very frustrating i self taught myself and it took about a year but mostly look up on youtube.
