Which is easier to learn? 270's on or 270's off on rails or boxes? and should i know how to do switch ups first?

off fo sho. for off you don't need to learn any of that stuff. for 270 on you should be able to hit rails/boxes other foot forward than your used to...just practice makes perfect man

for me at least, switch 270 on is a lot easier than regular 270 on i don't know why i always eat shit when i 270 on

deffinatly start with the 2 off on a box. make sure that you know the way that you will be comming off. switch or reagular.

i found you have to learn your 270's off on rails, and 270's on is easier on boxes, just my opinoin

yeah thats cause you can't grind the other way so if you go up switch you land on the rail the way you normally slide it...

270 off on a rail is waaaaaay easier then boxes. 270 onto a rail is also easier then 2 on a box. you stick to rails better.

270 off is easier on rails cause its easier to get hold of an "edge" (side of the rail to push off of to spin).

270 on's are easier on boxes.

if u cant figure that out u already got a problem...

JK!!!!!

I think 270 out is easier but when u learn 270 ons 270 out comes naturally from the momentum of the spin on

For me to do a 270 on rotating in my natural direction i will land sliding unnaturally, so would it be easier for me to learn them like this or rotating 270 in the unnatural direction but sliding naturally?

for me it is easier to 270 off of rail but easier to 270 onto boxes. Sw 270s are also easier for me then regular ones.

270s off rails are the easiest. Learn fs first then backside comes pretty easay. Then 270s onto boxes are probably the next easiet and spins off come quickly after learning those. 270s onto rails is definitely the toughest tho.

thanks guys, i have some learning of 270's to do. For 270's on to a box does the box need to be long and high, because my park only has one flat box which is ride on and like 5 ft long(if that)

nahh, the box doesnt need to be super long, i guess its better though because you get more time to orient yourself on the box.

but really just get on the box with the mindset of doing a switchup, and then pop off like 6inches from the end of the box , starting your rotation. by the time you hit the ground you should be landing straight and cleannnn.

also idk i might be just wierd but i didnt even think about sliding opposite when i first tried a 270 and it worked out fine, maybe im ambidextrous when it comes to sliding?

****my bad i told you a box doesnt have to be long for 270's off****.

but for 270's i guess it is better shorter because if you feel offbalance you're off the box before you know it. the downside is, you probably cant take as much speed into the 2sev on or you might just helicopter over the 5ft.so it helps to know flatland 3's.

on a small box i would just suggest doing a continuous spin all the way along and then just pop off, it looks way cooler than a 2sev to straight slide for like 1 milisecond.

You can grip rails easier... I had a hard time doing 270 offs on a box because I couldn't grip very well, and the box was pretty low down too.

A box has gotta be higher off, and then I just use my upper body/hips to bring my legs around.

Try it on rails first

i just learned 270 out today and i find it MUCH easier on a rail. never done a 270 on though, but seems like that would be eassier on a box. i dont know for sure though. like i said, ive never done one.

Defininlty 270 out of rails first and try to 270 on to boxes thats what worked for me I still cant get 270's on to rails tho

270 off of rails is easier but 270 to boxes is easier i think. learn to 360 on flat or nearly flat to learn to 270 easy.

I learned 270 out before 270 on but I am inconsistent at 270 out. 270 onto boxes I get evertime. I need to learn how to do them on rails now.

same.

And remember the whole trick to getting the spin on 270s on is to just pop really hard, set, and bring your knees up and you should be good.

wow i must be really weird because i still have never done one 270 off a rail, and ive tried for a nice hour 2 hours on one rail, hiking,

I learned 270 on to a box, and i cant 270 of rails yet.

i cant sw270 yet and i sometime do 270's off boxes by accident.

i need help with my 270's off!!!!

I learned 270 off before 270 on. I find their the same but that's just me. but ya way easier on boxes all the way.

i find 270 outs are easier..i just learned 270 ons and i still havent learned to stop rotating on the box the ive been trying it on

you do not need to know how to through switch ups to get 270s, i can through 450 s off once and a while and i can barely through a switch up. i'm not real good at 270 on but when you want to through a uphill or blindside 270 out (my personal fav.) start turning your sholders about six feet before the end of the rail, go fast enough to clear your tips and just keep looking, and once you get it keep doing it agin and again until it becomes smooth. think like you already know what your doing invision it in your head and go for it. same thing with downhill 270s start turning shoulders early.
