Learn to f'ing ski

thank you i get so much heat for being a park skier from some racers sayin you can't ski look at tanner and im like dood i grew up racing and ski outside the park when the snow is good or whenever i want

haha, many people can ski, and if they cant. they take lessons.

i cross country skied all ym childhood, and then started downhill, no i can out slalom anyone in the central ontario region. that hasnt been on a race team that is.

you're an old bastard that's pissed because he can't do any tricks so you try to tear down the kids that can. Its really pretty pathetic actually

Its also obvious you dont speak english any more.. NE are letters of the fucking alphabet, not a word even when typed , i think my stupid little sister writes shit like that.

big fucking deal. I've been skiing for 4 years, and i'm better than a lot of people that have been skiing since they could walk. Number of years doens't necessarily mean you can ski. I dont doubt that you're good, but you're not special just cuz your parents got you into the sport before you could wipe your own ass.

While I won't drop names, and I am obviously a newb here. I can understand the sentiment. I've gone into the park too many times to see skiers that can't turn but are trying to do spin tricks and whatnot. Learning how to link some turns and to get a little brave and learn to ski fast (that doesn't just mean bombing down the hill) will help more than some would like to realize. Confidence on your skis, turning, skiing bumps, dropping stuff or hitting a kicker all plays into itself.

you fag!!!!

tanner can ski

he used to ski moguls

Most skiers that are big name pros like tanner, dummont, schiller, ect can ski...they grew up skiing. some of them it runs in there family

soo i think you should think about what you say befor you say it cause maybe your the prick that needs to go back to ski school and learn how to f'ing ski!!!

yeah, i know what your talking about. they get this cheap skiing sh*t and think they can ski if the do a 360 off a jump

so since ive only been skiing like three years now, and im not as good as you. I should quit? I dont get what ur saying, yeah some kids arent good at skiing but how are they supposed to get good if u dont ever want to see them out on the hill when they're sucking. Are they supposed to practice in their backyards until theyre as good as seth and then they are finally able to tkae out to the mountain, in your presence. I understand what ur saying about kids being in the park that can hardly ski but at the same time can u really expect kids to stay out of the park for years until they can ski pow good and then, only then, they are allowed to go off jumps and do the "fun" skiing. Its just not practical. the park is just more appealing.

I'm not saying don't go into the park.. I'm just saying get out and make a few turns too, it'll help you more in the park than you think. I don't expect everyone to be able to ski tight lines and trees great to go into the park, but people should be concious to skiing as a whole. If park skiing is the only "fun" skiing to someone, thats fine too, but being able to ski fast enough in control to ski well in the park is not just something you get by hitting kickers and whatnot (I guess you could technically, but still). I'm not trying to come off elitist, I just think it is a little funny watching someone who can barely turn forward trying to jump onto a rail switch. Either way, by all means, go out and have fun.

i rock the baggy shit because i want to. i race skierX, ski park and rip pow when i've got the opportunity. i've got nothing to hide in my ability to ski

I got to agree with the dude who started this thread, 90% of the skiers out there arent technically strong skiers. With that said it doesnt matter as long as they are having fun. As for Tanner Halls abilities, in order to be a strong skier in the park you have to be a strong skier outside the park. Its all about how you control your skis and your balance. So I disagree on your Tanner point. And i finish by saying there are some angry people on this site.

very true, do people think that since your skis turn up at the back you recive 1000 volts if you leave the park ?

whoever the bitch ass was that wrote this and well pretty much everyone else here. but i was talking about the bitch ass complaining about shit that only helps r sport grow. i dont give a fuck how good u r go out to ur local shop and buy some equipment its the best damnb thing that could happen to our sport.

instead it makes them think those kids doin 900 are better skiers than kent kreitler

Lets not forget that Kreitler a) has no stlye, and b) started bitching hardcore in mags about how he gets no credit for the jumping he did. Tanner Hall smacks the shit out of Kent Kreitler.

i agree with this. "kids" i say that because they usually are 15 and under are killing it in the park but couldnt do a bump run for their life. i started skiing park because i couldnt find any more challenging terrain and it was something new. but kids now cant ski, their more acrobats than anything

who cares if they can't ski powder, most of people can't ski parks but some of them can ski powder very well. We don't say that they can't ski because they can't ski park. There just good in an other type of ski.
