Learn to f'ing ski

most of you guys, no matter what age, seem to look more and more like those little bundled up kids at the ski school. all you need to do know is follow each other turn for turn and you'll fit in perfectly. ok, big baggy stuff is gay, that's obvious, but beyond comfort or whatever kind of style you're after, it's mostly just a way to mask you're level of skiing technique.

the level of skiing, i think, has gone down so much in the last couple of years due to the snowparks allowing skiiers in. park riding has gotten alot better, sure, but it's rare to see good skiing anywhere else these days. i guess it's good that alot more kids are picking up skis, but learn to use them. i saw a few clips of tangerine dream the other day, which featured some guys like tanner hall and a few others riding powder in the trees. it was embarrassing. these guys can't ski. they can jump all over the place, but they can't ski.

ok, let me have it kids....

man, im so envious of your bravery to be heard on this site. u keep doing that and ill go model my clothes for the first half of my ski day, then be dumb and easily influenced by what ppl say. i wish i had ur style

i gives me e-shivers down my spine. the shivers then reach to my "area 51" and now i want to release my secret all over your United States

just like it says man, ur totally lame.I think most kids here have been skiing a longggggg time before freestyle even emerged. most people can ski quite well. just because tanner cant ski glades means everyone in the sport cant? think about what you just said. think about the clains you just made. that almost everyone in freestyle skiing cant ski. only "jump around". my friend i bet more then half this site can ski better then you. i bet u suck at park. another thing is WHY THE FUCK DO YOU CARE? so what if people cant ski? (which they can) if people are doin what they love to do why does it matter to you? what harm is being done to you and your family if people like to ride park and nothin else? furthermore wouldnt you like that the park draws park rats there day in and day out, on powder days even? giving you more fresh tracks in the woods and BC??????? people like you really piss me off

first of all, tanner can ski...i gues you overlooked the fact that he used to be a mogul racer and won Bumps and Jumps a few years ago...i guess you also must be pretty damn good at backcountry to say that tanner sucks...and lastly your gay

you know whats fun, joining a society, then rip on the whole culture, saying they are bad at what they do. there are people on this site who can ski better than i have ever seen in person, i would never generalize about the level of skiing on here due to the huge range. shut the fuck up and get the fuck out.

This site is about freestyle skiing, not racing, I agree that park skiers probably aern't as good skiers, but that makes sense, they don't care about that...

you all think hes attacking you. if you know you can ski, then you shut the fuck up. hes stressing the point that park skiing isnt teaching the youth to make good turns. instead it makes them think those kids doin 900 are better skiers than kent kreitler. im with youuu

if you don't see much good skiing outside of the park it's prolly because we're all in the park going huge...lol

1, most people arnt "kids", they may act like it but the majority arnt, so stop calling them like you the best person in the universe, you arnt.

2. I think you just disgraced our sport, skiing isnt about knowing to ski, its about having a good time, you should knnwow this if you calling us kids, so call us kids, we have the best toimes of out lives skiing, i guess thats what kids do.

lay off and have fun.

not a bad point...... parks are getting just about as huge as they can get, maybe someone should stress to the resorts more of a whole mountain terrain park style .... what i mean by this is have ceratin areas of the mountain dedicated freeride slopes, with let's say cornice at the top, some small cliffs, then into a jump or two, then a rail or two hidden in the trees, etc. like a flowing park that works on all levels of skiing, but is more open and stresses development.... i don't know what do you think?

that sounds like an excellent idea, but still no reason to call park rats bad skiers. most of us started out long before the whole freestyle thing became big. and you're idea would be cool to have in adition to the parks

it is all about the fun yes, but park has made this culture. one old people dont understand, while many youger people dont know any different. but what am i saying..?i love park...stay in it and out of my pow.

i think it would be better for the sport, cause now, everyone seem divided on the park level, i guess even i'm guilty of that. take down the fences around the park, and make it more of an all terrain type setup

how do you know theyre aliases ?^ could just have low post counts and are voicing their low post count opinion

ok first of all u need to shut up, chill, and go have FUN skiing and not care how other people r having FUN skiing cause thats what is all about. also, being a good skier to u may be someone u cant do a 360 in a park but can rip like none other in the backcounrty without hitting a single cliff, but to someone else, a good skier is someone who can throgh switch corked 10s but hardley ever skis outside the park. so calm do, ski for ur reasons and stop trying to get people to follow u, cause that is y u said some people were gay in the first place, cause they copied other people but now u r telling all of a freeskiing website to follow u

First off, to alot of the people on this site. That was offencive. You generalized little kids with the people who have been skiing since the uprise of snowboards. I choose to ski myself way back when snowboarding was way popular. I thought at first I wanted to be a racer, I'm a speed freak. I must admit, I was fast. I learned to ski, as well as many people on this site, before park was popular. I was a kid then, I had no choice in clothes, therefore I wore tight over-all snowpants, with a really puffy coat. Once I became the age to pay for my stuff, I was already into the looser clothing. It's way more comfortable. So I got twin-tips and a new ouffit a few years back with my own money. I realized not only do the loose clothing look better, they are so much easier to grab in, they feel warmer, and much more comfortable. AS for not being able to ski, it's a choice kids make, if they want to be really good at jumps, that's fine with me, easier to flow throught the park. If they want to ski well, they can probably land some jumps anyways, I'm not complaining either way, it's a choice they make, it's the image they want to convey. Sure, I don't agree with it all, but their kids with identity crisis, or it's just what they want.

Give it a break. Let them be, if they get in yur way, yur cocky enough, back it up and beat the crap outa them. If not, just moan to yourself, or see the light. Noone wants to hear your bitching.

yea baggy clothes are gay. ur a fucking dumbass, how come every skier pretty much wears baggy clothes? and u prolly suck too u know

mmm i dont know if i would liek to be the 50th person to hit the same 20 ft cliff drop wiht out any snow in between. Part of free sking is being able to find your own sick lines not hit ones that are already made

the starter of this topic is so gay. Personnally, i've been skiing since I was 2 and I think I know how to ski, like a majority of the people on this site and it's not because people ski parks that they won't be good skiers. U are so freaking queer.

I lovee threads like this, they make me laugh at the closed minded conservitive faggots in this country.. hahaha..
