Le Tour Monoski

Is it possible to monoski on a splitboard setup fitted with touring bindings? I will be t bolting the bindings in. Though I need an idea to strengthen up the clamping system on the splitboard. So it won't blow out when carving

Please help I'm retarded

ummm. shit I mean you can run hard boots with a dynafit toe piece setup I have a friend that does that but to ride the board mono ski style? i mean you could run the plates that connect your boots to the splitboard but what the hell is the point are you really that die hard of a monoboarder or is this for a joke?

Making one so anyone is able to tour big pow lines on it. Just a project, the trouble is how reliable will it be especially being in the middle of no where.

dude ive been talking about a splitboard mono for years! Mono ski crush untracked deep pow and it would be sick and radical. haha , monoskis are sooooo fun in deep pow!

damn, that's super dope.

The way that skis/snowboards are designed you would most likely have trouble with bindings if you mounted ski bindings on a splitboard. There is normally reinforcement under where you mount your bindings to help prevent them from pulling out of the skis. That could result in a pretty sketchy situation deep in the bc.

The other issue is keeping the boards together. With split snowboards the bindings help hold the board together. The bar system that the people at the link employ mitigates this problem so if you were doing a custom ski you would want to do something similar.

Basically, it could be really sketch if you just do this on a snowboard.
