I am about to take a trip to Windsor canada once i get outta classes for the year and i am wondering what the situation is with weed. is it legal to be smoking anywhere? can you buy it in stores like i heard u could a few months ago? what are the penaties if it is not legal?

It's not legal to smoke, or buy. It's still criminal. I believe the liberal government brushed the whole weed decriminalization under the carpet with the election coming up. Not too sure on that, but I do know that the whole thing has been forgotten about. No media coverage on it for a while. So it's still illegal.

It's still illegal, but if you get caught with small amounts and they assume its for personal use, you will probably get a slap on the wrist, and the cop will take your pot and probably smoke it

 
There have been cases thrown out of court so basicly, even if you are caught now, its pretty hard to be charged.

cuz im 20 and its legal to drink and gamble at 19 so i wanna go up with a few buddies and just party the weekend away. plus its a nice place and i havent been to canada yet soo i wanna go.

haha im not looking for a road trip, windsor is only 5 hours from cincy Ohio and i just want to cross the border and drink/gamble. i will soon make it to vancouver for some killer skiing but i dont have the money now

Go to Toronto. It's probably an extra 5 hours, but there's so much more to do there, plus you could probably meet a bunch of people from NS. They're some of the coolest people and a ton of fun to party with.

Considering it's still illegal, it's pretty blatant here in Vancouver when they can have a shop with a green awning with 'Nature Bar' labelled on it, and all the windows covered with brown paper. Yeah, I have NO idea what's going on in THERE.

Windsor? Just spend the extra driving time to get to Toronto. As for weed, it's not legal, but as long as you're not blatant with it, you're probably ok. Don't do stupid things like smoking while driving, try not to smoke in obvious public places, and if you do run into the police, I've found that honesty works best. I don't think you'll have any problems. Seriously though, avoid Windsor. It's ugly. Go somewhere nicer, or just go to Toronto.

if you're caught with over a gram they arent too nice....but if its one or two joints, you'll just get a police pep talk and they'll probably take your weed.
