Hey so I want to get my next tattoo live free be true in latin, I'm hoping one of you can hook it up with a little help because no one wants a tattoo that makes no sense, any help appreciated, thanks guys

^Why you gotta talk about your self man, we all know you love the dick, don't tell us about it

vive liber= live free and verus es= be true

you might want to double check with someone else though because i'm not too good at latin haha

well, i guess it could be better if you already have a meaningful sentence you want to tat and then have it translated, instead of someone else telling you what to write on your skin lol

anyway the first thing that came in to my mind is this sentece:

in girum imus nocte et consumimur igni

it's a palindrome (and i think this is a good idea for a tatoo); it's not proper classical latin, more a late, almost medieval one, and the translation is something like "we wander at night and we are consumed/burned by fire"

^Why the fuck would I ever get that tatood on myself? It makes no fucking sense whatsoever, do not put your shit hole of a personal opinion over my opinion, thanks you, also if anyone is interested I changed what I wanted to free will and already have the translation. Thank you to the one girl who attempted to help, and I'm glad to see this site is still full of kiddies with too much time on their hands

Thank you for learning to read at such an early age, please use that skill along with your eyes to read the above post =D

Tattoo this onto you with it

Why do people post sayings in languages they either can't speak and/or read? Is it so it can be something secret? That's the only good reason I can think of. But yet people with tattoos love telling people the story around their tats....

Whooooooa cowboy...calm down just a tiny bit. I would suggest being a little friendlier to the group of people you are asking to translate something you want to get tattooed on your body, but it's your call.

O i see what you did there, you thought I wanted suggestions and I thought you disregarded my quote and decided yours was better. My bad yo

i'm sorry mate, i should read more carefully your request, i thought you were looking for suggestions

my fault

anyway, i try to mend it confirming what had been told you by SteezeAlex

live free: can be translated liber vivi or libere vive (live freely)

be true: it can be verus/sincerus es (they mean true / sincere )

so the sentence can be something like liber vive et verus es

other ways to write it: liber et verus es verus liberque es liber et aperte vive
